Paul, Come To Australia
-
I'm sure any day now he'll announce a "postponement" of the South Korea concert out of respect for those lost in the ferry disaster......I'm sure he will........... Yeah, right!
-
thanks for the comment about scotland and coming from an american it means a lot, very honest to say that you have many shows. I agree and so do many thousands more...........the situation is and i think always be strange!
-
Out of interest, how many times has Paul been out here? There's been: - 1964: Beatles - 1976: Wings - 1993: Solo Is that it or has there been only three?
-
Yeah, that's it. Only those three times

Yowza. 12 years; 17 years; 21 years and counting. If we follow the maths, we should be due for a visit next year. And then not another one for 27 years. Though, he probably won't touring at the age of 99.

If he's still around at 99, and there's a buck to be made....he will perform....but not for us...

USA.19 SHOWS CONFIRMED FOR 2014......OZ....ZERO. WHATS NEW. HAPPY 2014 TOUR SCHEDULE MACCA FANS DOWN UNDER

Buckley's and none.

So I am hoping that I may be some luck, I travelled to Europe in 2009 to watch bruce Springsteen play, then last year and this feb he toured in aus. Then I saw the stones in London for their 50th anniversary in 2012, and now they are touring (in November) and I saw Paul in vienna last June, so maybe it might be a pattern and he tours here at the end of the year maybe

Be wonderful if your hunch was right Chelsea. We all hope so. "Where are you from, Chelsea?" "Perth..." "Peeeeerth....Astraya!!! G'day mate..."
-
Haha, good times At least I reminded him that we do exist! Great concert in Vienna, but nothing beats an aussie crowd.

Me too Chelsea. He acknowledged my Aussie flag in Tokyo. Keep flying the flag, young lady! Aussie crowds are the best.

Found out why he won't go back, it's because they call their McDonald's "Maccas"
Oh, yeah. We do that with everything! Particularly people's names. There's no Steven, John or Tom. They become Stevo, Jonno and Tommo (occasionally Tommy). We're a strange bunch...

I don't. I find it annoying.

Well, neither do I but it's not an inaccurate stereotype. Most people think I'm English anyway.

I wonder just how many of the people on this thread have given up hope of him ever returning. With the recent health scare, I thought I might try and go abroad to see him perhaps next year when I can actually afford to. Any recommendations for Macca Holiday Package destinations?
-
West Coast USA. Cheap for us, great weather and lotsa stuff to do. As it happens I haven't given up on Australian gigs yet...
-
There is always hope. He will make his way Down Under at least once before retiring from the stage. I believe it will happen.
