Okay if you want to know why I am confused, it's because I have pet cows and many other things and some girl called me a hypocrite because I eat meat. I mean I love animals but I was raised eating meat. I am beginning to wonder if Paul dosen't respect people who eat meat. I am scared. Sometimes I hope there will be a way vegans and meat eaters can stop being so much like extreamists. Sorry, I have to ask about this because it's scaring me. I loved Paul ever since I was 8 and if I was to find out he's an extreamist I would be scarred for life.

Well, for many years Paul and Linda promoted the vegetarian lifestyle as a single option. They did use some harsh methods at times - particularly featuring a difficult to watch animal abuse video before the show on at least one tour. However thay have always seen the need to "convert" rather than "confront". Look how the original Linda McCartney vegetarian food range was aimed at providing meat substitutes rather than pure vegetarian dishes in their own right. Sausages, Beefburgers, Cottage Pies, Meat and gravy pies were all forms they produced amongst others. In interviews they reported their own personal delight in watching their own "beefy" road crew tuck into those alternatives with relish when offered in the tour canteen. More recently, of course Paul has embraced the principles of the Meat-Free Monday campaign encouraging waverers to commit to one single meatless day with a heavy emphasis on the ecological impact of reducing world demand for meat by one seventh - less demand for meat - more grain, pulse and vegetable growing - and the rather bizarre fact that browsing animals burb and break wind releasing planet destroying gases in significant amounts. At the o2 Arena in London the usual stadium catering offered the normal range of meaty snacks but clearly some negotiations had taken place as an alternative "veggie" option of a Linda McCartney veggie burger deal was offered alongside the venues normal veggie snack option as a "guest" dish for the day. I assume similar deals are offered wherever Paul tours? So reflecting on those thoughts, it seems reasonable to to say Paul doesn't take an extremist view of the lifestyles of others that choose to eat meat. He seems to be happy campaigning for a gradual change rather than insisting. In his own personal life it is reported that, wherever possible, animal products are not chosen, thing like furniture, shoes, clothing, seat coverings in vehicles etc but I've never heard of prima donna like tantrums if those personal wishes cannot be met as he moved round the world. So I think if he were to learn of your associations he'd have a chat and make suggestions rather than show you the door. I don't think you need to worry unduly. Martin

I don't see the connection between a girl calling you a hypocrite and Paul? He never calls people names cause they're eating meat. He's very respectful to everybody on this planet. He's just trying to make people aware of the consequences of eating meat. Consequences for your health but also for mother earth. It's everybody's own choice. I don't eat meat, you do, all fine by me. Respect is the word.

Paul is extremely anti meating- eating, but I doubt he would hate anyone for being a meat-eater.

Heck, we?re ALL hypocrites. The fact that moi ain?t committed suicide proves that I?m the world?s BIGGEST hypocritical coward. I stopped eating me fellow Earth animals a little less than four years ago BUT that was ?cause they WERE killin? moi. . .and I?ve got the huge chest scar to prove it. I would much prefer living on a planet where DNA formed as ?Bucky Balls? and not our, amazingly twisted, double helixes. However the odds of such a world coming into existence is more remote than all the quarks Xs a gazillion. Anywho, it?s like moi wrote in me we parody of ?My Darling Clementine,? entitled ?Oh, Osama.? ?. . .some DNA kills DNA that?s it, there ain?t no more billions of years will go on by other beasts will rule the curve you and Bush all folks and Tor atoms in THEIR oil reserve (chours) Oh, Osama, There?s no need for jihad There ain?t a heaven with virgins And there ain?t a god.? Though I?m a lacto-vegetarian I?m also a fishpire. That?s someone who uses fish oil for medical concerns. The only way to avoid being a hypocrite, is to avoid being. In other words, allow moi to, MOST regrettably, correct Sir Paul with me wee ?The End?s Ending.?

Of course, IF the universe is perfectly oscillating, that ain?t completely so. . .BUT we could NEVER know, nor would/does it matter, if ?tis or ?t?ain?t. As far as being confused goes, you didn?t KNOW, you don?t KNOW and you NEVER will KNOW. However, ?Knowing? ain?t all it?s cracked-up to be. . .perhaps if you?re on crack it is? Stay on groovin? safari, Tor
