Do you have anything like our local SPCA

Its a place where you can take abandoned animals. They keep them til they are adopted but with cats if they have feline lukemia or are badly injured they put them down. I am just glad they do keep the rest til they are adopted out. I wondered how many other cities have this.

Wow alot more than I ever knew of. When we lived in the country in Kentucky there wasn't any one to call if there was a sick dog hanging around.

I try to promote people looking for pets on petfinder.com. It is so easy & they even have purebred animals there. PLEASE check into adopting before BUYING a new pet. You can type in the breed you want & the sex & your zip code & it will show you every animal in a pound in the United States! That's how I found my dog.

I think that is wise because there are so many people on the news hoarding animals that can't take care of them and they end up at the pound too. I say adoption is way better.

Thats really cool. I Was reading on our SPCA site they have dogs with shots and spayed and neuter for 20 dollars you can't beat that. I would like a nice dog, but no more cats. I can't handle anymore than I have.
