Quebec City Confirmed For "Out There" Tour Five years almost to the day from his historic first concert in Quebec City, Paul is back. He'll be playing the Plains of Abraham on July 23. Touched by the reception he got in 2008, in what was "a night to remember" for everyone who had the chance to be there, Paul quickly got behind the idea of bringing Quebec audiences his new production, "Out There". "We can say that Paul McCartney was thrilled to accept our invitation. With so many surveys showing that his 2008 concert was the high point of the celebrations marking the 400 years of Quebec, what better way to mark it's fifth anniversary?" said Daniel Gélinas, General Manager of 3E event-experience-emotion, which is putting on this new show. Paul McCartney's "Out There" tour is an all-new production featuring close to three hours of songs spanning his entire career ? as a solo artist, member of Wings and, of course, The Beatles. The McCartney live experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity to share many of the greatest moments of musical history with material from the most beloved catalog in popular music. Paul has thrown himself into 2013 with full force following a landmark year in 2012, which saw him conclude his record-breaking ?On The Run? tour, release his Grammy-winning Kisses On The Bottom album, play at both the Diamond Jubilee and Olympics Opening Ceremony, headline The Concert For Sandy Relief and accept a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. An advance ticket sale reserved for those having Festival passes and Front-Stage Zone tickets for the 46th Festival d?été de Quebec will take place from May 4 to 10. All ticket holders will receive a box office access code by e-mail or by phone, on Wednesday May 1st, so they can buy their wristbands for this show. Regular ticket sales start the following day, May 11, and continue while wristband supplies last. Wristbands sales: ? Online : www.3e-evenement.com/outthere ? By phone : Quebec City Area and international (outside North America) : 418 380-8290 / Toll-free (Canada and US) : Check local listings For more details, go to www.3e-evenement.com/outthere

I've been waiting for this announcement! Yay! A little confused about tickets for this show though. From the info posted it doesn't seem like there's a website fan presale? Only a presale for those who have festival tickets? I'm planning on flying into town for the concert and the festival ends the week before so I'm obviously not going to be getting tickets to that. Would that be the only way to get tickets before the sale to the general public? Then I'm wondering is it just wristband access? So I'll have to be there hours early to get a decent spot? Hmmmm....maybe I'd be better off trying to get tickets to an arena show in another city. Anyone have experience with an outdoor show like this?

We need another live stream! (Was it a live-stream anyway?)

We request a website presale for this show, please.

Let me second that!

http://www.3e-evenement.com/outthere He comes a few days after the "Festival d'été de Québec" ends, and like they explain on the website, there will be a pre-sale for those who have a pass for that festival, from May 4th to May 10th. Then, (if there are tickets left...) the regular sale will begin on May 11th. I have no idea how many places will be sold, how quick it will be sold, I would love to be there so I hope I can buy my ticket before they are all gone ! It would be my first time seeing him, does anyone here knows how it usually is ? I mean the sale, not the show ! Do the tickets sell very fast ? Do you think there will be tickets left after the presale ?

owh, i really want to go to a show in Quebec! tempting, as i can stay with a friend there. airfare is killer for me.

What's that with a wristband? I'm from Holland and we are planning a trip to Quebec in this period. Pauls show here would be a nice surprise in our vacation, but then i need to have the tickets send to me by mail so I can print them myself. Sending a wristband from Quebec to Amsterdam could be difficult. i don't want to take the risk that it wouldn't arrive in time.

Paul McCartney at the Plains of Abraham this year is happening almost five years ago to the day of the last time he played there. July 20, 2008 to July 23, 2013. I would assume that since this time around the concert not being free will reduce the number of attendees. 285,000 fans in 2008, I wonder what the capacity for the event will be this time?

The organisers will sell 70,000 wristband for the Quebec City's gig. 10,000 at $199. and 60,000 at $99.

Full event details are here: http://www.3e-evenement.com/en-outthere It mentions wristband pick up locally but also more importantly carries a direct e-mail address for ticket purchase questions: billetterie@3e-evenement.com I strongly recommend you contact them directly rather than rely on anecdotal replies within this topic. It's a long way to go to find you've been advised poorly - however well intentioned the reply was. Martin

After the legendary 2008 show, I have to see this one too. They say 250 000 atendees the first time but seriously I doubt that's true. The "Plains of Abraham" in that night's confirugation could hold a little bit more than 120 000 people. There were multiple screens around the city that added view points notably on Quebec's south shore and even in front of the parliament. It really, really was a night to remember. Now, Fan presale please? Like many others here, I do not like in Quebec City and will not attend the Festival d'été which means no presale in that fashion... For those hesitating however, Quebec city shows are always unique. Take your trip to Quebec and enjoy a night with Paul!

Thanks! I really do want to see the show. So as long as we can get tickets I'll be there. I'm watching every day hoping we'll see a presale that fans who are not from Quebec can participate in! Really hoping I can get tickets and make this a wonderful vacation!

Is it sad that I'm considering buying a wristband to the festival just to get presale access? The press release makes it sound like IF there are any tickets left after the presale they will go on sale May 11th. As if they could be completely sold out with the presale.

This is pretty pathetic to have to buy an almost $100 ticket to a festival that will be finished by the time Paul is even there! Don't have a hope in hell if you don't...Was there for the last one and you can't get ANYWHERE near. The french were so rude to anyone not from there, its a real turnoff...not even going to bother with this one and the 7 hour drive there...

Don't forget, the last show in Quebec was a FREE show and you didn't need a ticket, that's why there were so many people.

I made hotel reservations the minute I read the rumor - have my fingers crossed I'll be able to get general admission tickets. I've already decided I will treat it as picnic in the park, watching screens rather than trying to get close. It's still a fun experience - last year, we "saw" the Queen's Concert in the overflow area in Hyde Park. Very fun...and unless you are in the very front, you tend to watch the screen a lot. I have 1 decent (Gold) ticket in DC, 2 meh tickets in Brooklyn & Ottawa, and hopefully, the picnic ticket in Quebec City. So I''m going for quantity vs quality, as together, they equal a soundcheck! The important thing is to be there for OUT THERE.
