Hi, sorry to learn of your issues. We have no reason to believe they relate in any way to visiting and using this message board. Considering you describe the computer as "brand new" there are numerous reasons why you may be unable to use it. I would personally recommend you return the PC to your vendor for advice or, if that is impractical, engaging the professional service of a PC technician. I would not recommend using any on-line services that load further "diagnostic" software onto your PC, sadly these too can be the source of further issues such as viruses and malware. Regards Martin

If you are using a desktop pc and your tower unit is totally dead its worth checking,if you havn't done so already, the mains connection at the back of the unit and also the fuse in the mains plug.

My question..is it really necessary to up date my browser. I get this pop up that tell me I have to up date. It seems everytime I change something on my pc..it starts to run slow. I'm not very computer savvy but I want to do the right thing. Thank-you in advance for your timely answer.

What browser do you use? One of the regualars? Internet Explorer, FireFox, Google? Generally speaking the process of up-dating is relatively easy being just a few clicks and PC restart. It is possible to run more than one browser on a PC so if considering an up-date you can also consider a switch to another FireFox is considered quicker that Internet Explorer for example. If wary of any changes at all, then either engage the help of a friend or family member... Or even leave well alone if you're happy with what you've got. Martin
