I think the great Clapton-meets-Elvis meeting occurred in late 1973, when Elvis was recording his Promised Land album. In my little fantasy world, I pretend that it's Clapton playing the solos on the title track.

I am p.o.'ed! The King has been ROBBED! This is factually wrong! Lil Wayne surpasses Elvis Presley with most appearances on Billboard Hot 100 chart: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/best-rapper-alive-lil-wayne-surpasses-elvis-presley-billboard-hot-100-chart-article-1.1169515 Elvis had no less than 149 Hot 100 hits. Period. I don't know what the f-ck is up with Billboard, but I've known the following most of my life: (from www.elvis.com) "Elvis has had no less than 149 songs to appear on Billboard?s Hot 100 Pop Chart in America. Of these, 114 were in the top forty, 40 were in the top ten, and 18 went to number one. His number one singles spent a total of 80 weeks at number one. He has also had over 90 charted albums with ten of them reaching number one. These figures are only for the pop charts and only in America. He was also a leading artist in the American country, R&B, and gospel fields, and his chart success in other countries was substantial. "

Audi, I saw that online today when I was in the middle of surgery and I told the doctor and everyone, "Well, the Apocalyse has come--Lil Wayne has had more songs in the Billboard Top 100 than Elvis!" You need to email the person who wrote that article!!

If my memory is right, Elvis had 108 Top 40 hits. It's hard to believe that Lil' Wayne has come even close to that, considering that Lil' Wayne has been around for a relatively short amount of time. I can't even name one of his hits for that matter. I smell a rat. Actually, Elvis had 149+ Hot 100 singles: Let's not forget the 2002 and 2003 hit singles, "A Little Less Conversation" and "Rubberneckin."

Okay, back to Elvis Trivia! Here's an easy one: What is the name of the room at Graceland that is sunken and behind & below the kitchen? Extra points if you can name the color of the appliances in the kitchen!

Gosh! My blood is still boiling, but hopefully this trivia question will take my mind off that egregious news. Ok... ...The Jungle Room?

21st Century Paul:
I think you all know the story about when Elvis met Clapton
I know the story very well. It was at one of Elvis' movie nights. Elvis liked Eric a lot but didn't have a clue that he was conversing with one of the most influential and successful blues-rock guitarists (if not THE most) in rock music. He even suggested that E.C. take guitar lessons from James Burton. Granted, Burton probably could've taught Clapton a cool lick or two -- because James Burton was awesome -- but Clapton certainly didn't need any help.
That's it. Then Clapton said to the ones close to Elvis (as Elvis went away from Clapton after his lesson advice) that for him it would be a honour to play with Burton and Elvis. And he really mean it, I think, but, anyway.... It's like if I met Paul, "Oh, so you play bass, some of friend of mine could teach you some lessons on bass"

It reminds me of another legendary and similar Clapton moment. The Queen Elizabeth holds a meeting with 4 guitar legends (Brian May, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton). The Queen asks Eric "What instrument do you play?" "guitar" "How long you've been playing it?" "45 years"

I knew this one, believe it or not, the Jungle Room. The colour? Pink? Elvis liked pink here and there.

Speaking of dodgy guitar players.

In all honesty I don't know much about Elvis' guitar playing, just a few chords for rhythm? Although some of his contemporaries seem to enjoy his playing.
