Elvis Presley

This is a new Elvis Presley thread? Naturally since the board began in June the database size has steadily increased, despite the forums being trimmed on a regular basis to keep the board working at a decent speed. As we get more and more posts and pictures on these front page threads it is unfortunately inevitable that they will start to have a long-term effect both on the database size and ultimately on the speed of the board. Therefore in the case of my last Elvis Song Of The Moment thread I have decided to lock it and so let it be trimmed off naturally. Hopefully it will go some way towards helping the future speed of the board and it may well be an option considered in the future for other large threads. My song: Heartbreak Hotel

Great song there! One of my favorites.
(Tries getting used to "new format" Yeah, it's a great song! A very good rocker, and Elvis' voice, as usual, was great on that one. Got A Lot O' Livin' To Do Love how he performs this one in "Loving You" in the end. Actually, in that movie, if you watch it, his parents, Gladys and Vernon Presley, are in the crowd. When Elvis' Mom died about a year or two later, he never watched that film again.
-
Yes, I feel compelled to discuss now. Thanks for the info. Wasn't Elvis' last name Presley? Jailhouse Rock-- from the motion picture of the same name.
-
I've always liked the version of Burning Love that's on Platinum better than any other. Maybe it's the weird variation of the guitar on it.
-
What's everyone's favoruite Elvis movie? I like Jailhouse Rock, Follow That Dream & King Creole
-
Does That's the Way It Is count as a movie? If so, then that's my favorite.

Some peope like to argue with me and say that since it's just a concert, it shouldn't count as a movie. I wasn't sure where you stood on it.

I think he made 31, but i'll get back to you on that one....They all started getting the same near the end and Elvis got fed up with the poor storyline's.
-
Yep, I got it right! He made 31 movies...First one being Love Me Tender and the last Change Of Habit...Here's a website with a list of all the movies and a little run down on each one. http://elvisandyou.com/emovies.html
