Questions for the Elvis experts here, I don't know the answer. What on Earth does the man sings in this line of Baby What You Want Me Do. ... "anyway you want I say roll?" "anyway you want it to roll?" 1.24
I've read things like "Anyway you wanna let it roll" but he doesn't sing that, no way, lol Maybe there's just no lyrics in those seconds "Anyway you want ...... roll, yeah, yeah, yeah" maybe I'll do it like that. -

I've heard this song all my life. My dad used to play Lou Rawls' version all the time, and Rawls' sings the same thing.

I concur! (that means audi is right Ollie!)

New trivia question: The remix of "A Little Less Conversation" was a HUGE global hit in 2002. It was mixed, using tracks from Elvis' recording session for the '68 Special. Elvis had already recorded that song in a previous, unrelated session for another project. Name it.

The "Live a little, love a little" movie.

sure he's right in my mind is like the melody needs one more note to be like that, I don't get it, the "wanna let it" is said in a way that seem to me 3 notes instead of 4, I'm searching for the fourth. Here is plain to see, the Original version I think
but I prefer the way Elvis sings it here Elvis does it like in the original but I want to delete one note, you know, hmmm..... "anyway you want it to roll" would not change the meaning, am I wrong? instead of "anyway you want to let it roll" -
You are belaboring the hell out of this, Ollie. Different singers use different phrasing tactics. Sometimes, that might mean deleting/adding another word to suit how the singer prefers to sing it. So, in other words, do what you want to do -- just keep it "in the pocket."

Easy peasy! Sam Phillips!

Correct! By the way: Do you remember his appearance on Letterman in the early '80s? He was clearly drunk -- funny and awkward at the same time.

Here it is: Sam Phillips @ David Letterman, 1986, drunk, stoned...:

Considering the contribution that he made to American music, this is disappointing to see. This is the equivalent to George Martin going on the Tonight Show wearing an afro wig.

Found this on Google.

This has been debunked numerous times.

Yeah but come on guv'nor! Did he actually wanna beat him up?

All idiots who put pics of famous people and add imbecile text to them should be shot.

Well...that would be one approach.
