Audi, Since you never answered, I'll tell you--the appliances were Harvest Gold or kind of a burnt orange weren't they? (the other favorite in the late '60's & early '70's was Avocado which is what we had at home!)
I don't have an eye for interior design at all. What can I say? I'm gay, but I'm not that gay.

Hey, and no answer again for my last question? I bet you know it!

In J.D.'s memory, shall we? "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

I know the main melody of the song, but haven't listened enough to have known that. Kudos, bro.

I also met D.J. Fontana that same year, by sheer coincidence. He was an ass.

Okay-more trivia! Out of all of Elvis' 31 movies, what was the most common first name for his character, and what was the most common last name? Extra credit for naming the movies. Clue: There are 3 movies with the same first name and 2 movies with the same last name.

Not sure if this would interest you guys, but it's 'trivia' none the less. My guy MORRISSEY is a big fan of The King too. In his time in The Smiths he did the bands artwork and for the single 'Shoplifters Of The World Unite', he chose a picture of Elvis for the sleeve. Also they did a brief 'Marie's The Name' cover live. Before his show in Manchester this year they played 'Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello' across the speakers (he choses the pre-show track list). Here's a piccy:

I saw Morrissey in '92. It was almost like seeing Elvis in '56; those kids were going nuts for the guy! And, yes, I'd heard one of those "His Latest Flame" live performances. A fried in college played it for me, much to my delight.

Totally guessing: Mike (one of the movies was the World's Fair one) Rodgers (he played Charlie Rodgers in Roustabout) This is a hard one, for sure!

Audi, I just knew you'd be a Morrissey fan. I was waiting for you to post in the Smiths/Moz thread for ages! Usually he sings a line(s) from a song before going starting the show properly, in this instance it was 'I want you, I need you, I love you' -

Too cool! Not even Elvis himself sang that one live after the '50s! Wow! Could it be that Morrissey is finally...happy? I had a Morrissey phase when Your Arsenal was out. I loved that album. MTV played "Tomorrow" quite a bit, and I bought the CD-single. That was the beginning for me. I was disappointed that "The More You Ignore Me The Closer I Get" didn't have the same amount of steam in America as "Tomorrow." Nonetheless, it's great that Morrissey has maintained a loyal fan base, and that he still keeps his image progressive (while still retro). I loved it when he wore the priest's collar on Letterman a few years ago.

Great tracks Audi. Happy? Maybe. He has a whole album ready to go except he cannot secure a deal with the record companies. US tour kicks off in a few days, he'll be on Jimmy Fallon on the 3rd. I think he's booked for Jimmy Kimmel and Colbert too.

Is he working on an indie deal? Today, "indie" is the new "major."

Not sure Audi. I'm sure the smaller labels have made their offers (Come on, it's MORRISSEY) but I think he wants a bigger deal, I read in an interview published last week, he said Sony offered him a deal but he has to finance everything personally but split the profits.
