He's getting an absolute hammering, I've never seen it like this during a gig. I said this might happen when the tour hit Europe. I wonder how the official media reviews will handle it?
Hate to say I told y... I will stop here. Usually his Dutch venue gigs get reviewed by people who know McCartney's shows very well and are more than fair, and who are a little bit more forgiving about the state of his voice and the stale setlist. This time that will be different. And that's why I just didn't understand it: the 2012 show was one of the best I ever saw him give (although I can only speak about 2009 onwards), and the 2015 shows were an incredible last hurray. Now this festival gig is what sticks in the collective minds of those who aren't following him like we do. After 'Live And Let Die', he's got about 13 minutes left for 'Hey Jude' and an encore lol...

Nothing skipped from 'The Fool on the Hill' on: 'Mr. Kite' and 'Something' included as well. The audience already charted chanting the 'Hey Jude'-climax before the song started !

Last 3 songs from the setlist will be: 'Hi Hi Hi' 'Birthday' 'Golden Slumbers' And once again no 'Yesterday'!

Yesterday is a bit of a strange omission! No All You Need Is Love planned then...he's very stubborn about performing requests isn't he.

'Yesterday' was skipped at Lollapalooza as well. And seriously, why would he. He's no jukebox. A quick Ecuador-like piano-coda just before 'Golden Slumbers' is still possible, but he's already going over curfew as is, and the last time that happened...

That's a fair point.

Parts of Hey Jude on Periscope https://www.periscope.tv/henkjansmits/1eaKbebzewoxX Seems like the people on Pinkpop are having a good time.
-
I think we missed 'Ram On'! I know we can always count on the Dutchies.

11 minute past curfew, "see you next time!" No 'All You Need Is Love'.
-
A very positive "review" by the Dutch equivalent of The Sun, a minute after the last note. It's more a summary without an introduction or ending: http://www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/25990134/__Sir_Paul_betovert_Pinkpop__.html Just one point of critics: "It's unfortunate that [you could hear that] he was far from in good vocal shape. Unfortunate, but not more than that."

Nice pix...I hope everyone will post a lot!
-
And not a SINGLE mention of someone complaining about him not playing 'The Long And Winding Road' and 'Yesterday' and not a SINGLE mention of someone complaining about too much non-Beatles work. The "casual crowd" doesn't care about that at all!
-
Looking at the setlist, looks like the following were not played tonight: Temporary Secretary Here There and Everythere You Won't See Me And I Love Her Yesterday
-
According to Martin also: NO Queenie Eye and No Fool on the Hill!
-
Perhaps a younger crowd would not know what a Temporary Secretary was/ is since they are now called office assistant or administrative assistant.

Can't buy me love recorded off TV from he broadcast..
