I'm watching the first concert as I type. I guess you expect me to say something about Adam Lambert (finally Queen's singer lol) No surprise from what I've heard. He's better than Freddie at the highest notes and worst at the others. And still is in this concert. Don't expect to see "another Freddie" or an impersonation, it's just different. He sometimes unconsciously moves like Freddie, thought. They haven't changed the key for the songs. I think they would be better for Adam if sung higher. But I guess that will make Brian May use a capo or so, for avoiding learning to play all the songs in a different key...

There's some surprises like Roger and Adam singing Under Pressure. Or Freddie in Bohemian Rhapsody.

Having seen the real thing back in 1982 i wouldn't go and see this,or the Paul Rodgers tour either there comes a time that as brilliant musicians as they are its time to hang the crown up for good..John Deacon walked away years ago its time for Roger and Brian to do the same as well because what little i saw of this i thought at first it was a train wreck but i revised my view to merely average, and average was never good enough for Queen.

This is more like it's meant to be. The key is right for Adam, a bit low if ever

There are adorable lyrics mistakes here and there, as they are the first shows...

Another heartbreacking moment, Brian sings Love Of My Life with Freddie appearing at the end.

I saw them in 1985 & 1986 and with Freddie they were great, but what is the point of seeing half of Queen when one of them isnt even the lead singer? I have to say i think John had the best outlook and i wish the others had folowed him. Last show with Queen he did was "Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert" and after this he left and said he would never play with Queen again, as "there can be no Queen without Freddie" and i totally agree!

I guess the difference is that Brian and Roger already played together before meeting Freddie, John was the last to get in. In Queen's chronology Brian and Roger would be John Lennon and Paul, Freddie would be George and John Deacon would be Ringo. What I don't get is why THEY have choosen Adam, cause Brian May doesn't like these kind of singers (he didn't even like Freddie much...). Adam is someone who Freddie would have choosen or so but not the rest. Freddie said in the 70s a quote that sums it all, quite memorable. "Brian, I can't sing like fucking Paul Rodgers!"

So, as you can see, it's true. I'm not gonna be Queen's next frontman!

Saw Queen and Paul Rodgers back in 2005, sad I never got to see Freddie but his character and presence always lives on in the show which Brian and Roger always seem to make sure happens.

I dont have a problem with them playing together but not under the Queen Badge because they are not Queen! Just let them do their own shows and stop all this nonesense

yes, the moments where Freddie appears on the screen and sings, are like... Damn!

The highlight of the show. This is the best version ever of the song. And it's one of my 3 fav songs ever! Who Wants To Live Forever at Kiev (Brian May, Roger Taylor, Adam Lambert...)

I think that queen without Freddie is like a soldier without a gun

It's getting better all the time

Thats right, he's irreplaceable, but who ever is lead singing with Queen has to do it in their own style.

I'll be sure to come here and let you know how it goes when I see them on Thursday night. I was always a bit unsure about seeing 'semi-Queen' (as I like to call them) because Freddie was the one who really made it what it was, but I still owe it to myself as a big fan to go and see Brian and Roger regardless of any criticism I could think of. I hope they do at least one or two songs that stray away from the greatest hits list. Life is Real was a surprising choice.
