Quite a long list there eh! I have a ukulele too, as well as my starter guitar - Squier Stratocaster. I have a harmonica too, and a holder came today in the post. Thanks, those semi acoustic guitars with F holes are beauties, looks great in cherry red there, mine has no paint.

Ah I forgot my harmonica, I've got one of those bad boys too. Right, added it to the list now! I really should play it more often! And your guitar looks great. Very Lennon-y. I like the semi acoustic guitars cos you can just play them unplugged...AND they look cool!

I got it to be like John. The unplugged playability is a big factor, especially when it's too late to plug in. (I get a lot of creative ideas at 2am ). The design is a bonus.

Most of my creative ideas come in the shower! I'll spend about 45 mins stood there working out a melody or lyrics

Always at inconvenient times eh? How long have you been playing for? I've only been playing for two years ops: I finished my lessons about a year ago now.

I've been playing for about....hmmm....12, 13 years. Just over half of my life I started on piano and I did lessons for a year or so but they did my head in so I just taught myself! I'd much rather sit and listen to a piece of music and pick out all the bits and do it that way. Like when I started playing bass properly about 7 or 8 years ago I learnt everything by sitting with my headphones in just listening for the bass notes and figuring it out myself. And as you probably well know bass isn't the most prominent instrument so you've really gotta focus and block out the other instruments! It's a talent! Aaaah....good times!
-
Yeah! I got a new MacBook and the speakers I can finally hear the bass. I did enjoy my lessons but since I've been on my own, it's been more personal and I've developed my own style (a junkie Keith Richards/Lennon style :lol although I do rely on the use of tabs etc P.S we need more musicians in here. :

We do! AUDI! KAPOO! WE NEED YOU!

We need a bat symbol. I'm sure as you know that when you start accumulating guitars, you just want more. I could really do with a Gibson ES-335 now

They are 'the sex'! lol Go get one! Now! lol Actually my 335 didn't cost me too much. Just over £300. I know that sounds quite expensive but it could be MUCH worse! I bought it here: www.dangleberrymusic.co.uk/ref=mainlogo It's not got my exact one on cos I got it about 6 or 7 years ago, but there are similar ones!
-
Thanks for the link but don't tempt me! I only just bought the acoustic If I ever won the lottery I would be stocking up on guitars straight away! Gretsch's, Gibsons, Fenders, Rickenbackers Maybe it's a good idea to start playing the lottery first.
-
Oh hell yeah, if I won the lottery this would be the first think I bought: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickenbacker_4001 (after a holiday, of course!)

A fine instrument indeed! Is your hofner the B-series? (mine is)

No I've got the contemporary series. I can't see ANY difference in Paul's and mine at all, so all is good! I did almost go for the B-series but for some reason went with the contemp one. Love my Hofner! So light, sounds great and looks amazing! But I still want a Rickenbacker bass!
-
Don't we all? Those Fender Jazz basses are pretty nice too!
-
Coffee with my instruments
-
Nice set of bongos you've got there. Giggity! lol Awesome instruments! Really like the black Ovations. Especially the one next to your bass!

Give me the Les Paul.
