The following are not really my favorite singers but I love their voice: Patti Page, Karen Carpenter, and Madonna. How I wish most of today's singers have that fantastic voice!

With the word fantastic, I also meant distintive. There are many singing (or shouting) contests on local TV but the contestants all sound the same. There is nothing wrong in giving favorable comments to a contestant but when the judges behave as if the contestant is something awesome, I can't help rolling my eyeballs. By the way, my favorite local singers are Nora Aunor, Lolita Carbon, Sharon Cuneta and Claire dela Fuente.

There are many great Female singers that have graced us through music's most glorious past. Other than the many listed on this thread, lets not forget Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Ann Wilson, Joan Jett, Lita Ford and Pat Benatar just to name a few.
