if you ever wondered how Freddie would sing today, of how Queen would be now... this is great... This impersonator band is called "MERCURY" and the guy is so similar that even breaks his voice in the same way Freddie broke his live. Even does it in some songs that Freddie never did live, I think it would have been close to this. INNUENDO

THE GREAT PRETENDER THE SHOW MUST GO ONI watched these videos and I'm sorry to say I don't think it's very much alike...now and then there are some notes that I think "oh yeah, Freddie sounded like this too", but no one comes even close.

Well, I think he's close, not like the studio recordings but how Freddie really sang live. For instance "MERCURY"-Radio Ga Ga
Queen- Radio Ga Ga (live at Wembley 1986) but well no-one has a clue of how he would sound today... maybe more of a raw voice (like happens with Paul) or he could have started to sing less broken (like happened to Elvis) -
How are things in the Supernova? Here ok. Looking for a new job right now. Music wise, quite good. Sorted through my mountain of lyrics, threw some out, and brought them into some sort of order. Recorded a new demo. Still going to lots of Open Mic nights and went to a wonderful Acoustic Night last Friday. Hoping to record some more stuff soon as well.

Hey hello. Preparing lots of stuff... I'm into re-record some oldies of mine and record some new ones after what I've learnt about recording and singing lately. Impossible duets, karaoke nights, Global Wings recordings, books reading, internet reading, studying my favourite singers... I've already found the key for every song... Now I need to test if I can really sing it like it should be by recording short demos. After that I would have to start to recording all the instruments and finally vocals.... and then mixing it. I don't want to do the same mistake again: recording every instrument and then realizing the key was wrong... I guess I'll post tasters as I'm recording and I'll show them to friends too, cause the process is so long that I will bore myself if I can't show anything till the final mix. I've had a dental procedure today... so I knew yesterday I won't be able to sing today... so my karaoke night was a bit singing out the hell of every song... I thought my voice would break but It didn't at all. I guess I've been restraining too much... just when I thought I knew something about singing it seems I know nothing at all...

Hey Oliver, long time no speak. Sounds like you are busy with music stuff. I'm ok, been playing mainly acoustic guitar lately. Haven't been to Open Mic Nights for a while, but going to a Charity concert tonight. Several local bands are playing, as well as my guy friend.. Should be good. P.S. What recording equipment do you have/use?

yeah, I'm into many things, equipment? My Soundcard is old but good (at least is good enough for me), Soundblaster Audigy Platinum Ex. My microphone is a Shure SM57, yeah it's an instrument, not a vocal one, the vocal is the SM 58, I think. What I do is putting over it one of these things.... (what's the name?...) like Elvis had in the mic in Aloha's concert... My guitar is a Fender Stratocaster Deluxe Edition or so... long time ago I used a Telecaster with a Fender Amp. Now I use kind of a VirtualAmp that's great, it makes you sound it lots of different ways, "Highway to hell mode", "Where the streets have no name mode".... Behringer V-Amp 2 is the name. My keyboard is a cheap one really, an old Casio CTK-671, I don't think they'll still make them today. And for software I use Cubasis, an old version of Cubase... most of the people here use Audacity (it's free), but I got my software when I bought the sound card and I still use it. Everything is cheap except the Stratocaster...

I think this is Supernova-like, so here it is... Audi and Oliver-Rock and Roll (Led Zeppelin's song) Audi: plays every instrument me: crazy vocals somehow inspired in a live version mixed with the original one

Thanks for the detailed response. I meant the software etc. mainly.. I'm looking at getting something for on the go that is straightforward to use, maybe the Boss digital recorder (4 track) I keep hearing good things about. Last night's Charity Gig was great by the way. Talented people.

Hey Vanessa how are you? Do you have facebook. If you would like to add me, let me know. I have been fine, lazy and fat. Need to find a reason to exist. I guess I found, The Kinks, haha. Hugs

well, people who likes to use many effects use ProTools and similars... but if you're just gonna play a guitar and sing, then you don't need such a complex thing...

Hey, it would be great to see Adam Lambert doing Rock and Roll... (having done Whola Lotta Love...) I've found this strange version of Adam doing Whola Lotta Love in a bit of Robert Plant's style... strange dress, long hair, strange vocals... 7 minutes...
no Rock and Roll and no Beatles versions.... Kris Allen does Beatles versions... Hey Jude, Yesterday... Hey Jude A Ray Charles/Stevie Wonder style-Yesterday -

Well, Audi did all the job, I just sang, you know... (or kind of sang...). I wish I could really sing, but at least I can have fun singing.

Good job. I enjoyed that. Well I went for the digital recorder, got it in the mail today. It's a nice little thing, learning about the functions now. Decent sound for demos as well, so hoping to record some new stuff soon. Hi Michelle, how are you doing? Long time no see. I saw you are seeing Ray Davies soon as well. Have a blast. I can't wait to see him in May. How is everything else? I've been a bit stressed, looking for a new job, uncertainty about other stuff, such as a certain boy.. but things will be ok. Looking forward to warm weather, spring/summer and making some plans..
