I'm out the door in a sec, but wanted to leave this first...it's nothing fancy, just an instrumental teaser, about 1 minute long....no singing, but I like how it sounds anyway. Just did the first verse and the end, I still need to learn the middle part. http://rapidshare.com/files/187222698/AT_mp3teaser.mp3 What an amazing song!!
Beautiful!

Can't wait...acoustic guitar is such a pretty sound. S&G would have been a nice addition to the Inaugural Concert.
Yes, one or the other, or both.

Congratulation to all Americans I'm happy with Obama but I'm also very affraid a lot of very high hopes and 1 man to do that : let's not be hard for him................he is just a man
People with common sense are aware that he doesn't walk on water, but some folks are putting him in the "superhero" category. Of course being in a comic book with Spiderman doesn't dispell that notion. :
The media have made almost a saint of him, even before his inauguration. I hope he can do a lot of good things for your country and for the world. But I don't believe in miracles.
I don't either. I'm hoping he can, at the least, start to turn this big ship of a country toward a better course. I hope he will be upfront with the public as to what is really going on which may be too much to expect from any polititian :
Normally, I would agree very much with your assessment of what can be expected from "any politician", but as I said in an earlier post, he seems determined to getthe message out that his administration will be conducting it's business 'out in the open', so even if people don't agree with what he's doing, at least they will hopefully know what it is that he IS doing. Time will tell.

Hello there, Oz! Now it's official, you are beautiful! I am very suprised.. no rules in this thread, and still no one has posted any pic of men. You have been too kind. Here is a gift from me to you.
Hmmm....cute. I don't know him...........but I'd like to. Seriously, he's more the age that my kids would go for, but he is cute. Who is he? Should I know this already? ops:

yes, they say this society lacks creativity... but that's because they don't visit this thread. we'll give them ideas for ten new global shows
And at least one or two of them wouldn't be censored
Maybe.
I'm being optimistic

Hi Christy, how is the work in your house going? Are the walls rebuild? : Today I bought the newest CD of Walt Wilkins, Hope Well. Do you know his music? I love it. Of this album I prefer 18 Days Of Rain. I already have his album Mustang Island on which I get goose bumps from the song Long Winter. http://www.waltwilkins.com/ http://www.myspace.com/waltwilkins I bought a CD of Gretchen Peters too; The Secret Of Life. Later at home I realised I had bought an older album of her. I better had bought Burnt Toast & Offerings. You can listen to her music at her website. http://gretchenpeters.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=144&Itemid=101

Not here, and not like that.

Amen to that. As for anyone mocking that fabulous hat she wore on Inauguration Day, cuz personally, I thought it was fabulous.
The only mocking I've seen was on The Daily Show and it wasn't her hat they were on about. The skit was about how it was time to put away childish things all the while Stewart was being as juvenile as possible. I heard Aretha on a talk show stating that she wasn't pleased with how much the coldness of the air affected her voice,

I have great news Here, if you start a new job, you get a contract for 1 year and after that an other for 1 year I start my job a year ago with a contract and today they said that I can stay, without a new contract So after 23 years I finally a job steady job and if it is for me for the next 20 years after that I'm gonna do nothing
Usually "without a contract" isn't a good thing in the US, it means you can be fired at any time, but obviously that isn't the case in The Netherlands so CONGRATULATIONS!!! (It's the fantastic lunch you prepared that boosted you over the top )

Hi Tina, I haven't seen Aretha singing in Washington. But the other artists were wearing warm clothes. It looked like it was very cold in Washington. I felt sorry for all those people who had been waiting for hours in the cold.

Without a contract for only a year you can be fired here to. Having a contract without ending date it's more complicated to get fired. I'm glad for Angela too.

Man, been there, done that. I wonder if there's a genetic connection, as one of my kids has the same problem...can't get her numb enough for anything. As you say, mercifully, she's not needed it often, but still, it's a miserable experience. I hope your trip wasn't as bad as you were expecting.
I have had the same experience a couple of times. But that's many years ago now. Now I worry about the costs... last time I was at the dentist's it cost me more than 1,000 dollars. It was stressful at the time, but the nitrous helped...now I have a temporary crown until the gold one is made, then I go back on Fef 10...but it's okay cuz there will be no drilling I have dental insurance that picks up about half the expenses so this little venture is costing me around $650. If I would have taken better care of my teeth as a child I wouldn't be needing crowns. I brushed my teeth every day, but not well enough as I had fillings in many of my molars by the time I was 14 : Plus back then no one even mentioned 'flossing'.
