Ah ok. Hope something else will come up soon after. How long is your job for? In 'Battle of the Bands' news, my favourite guy is through to the semifinals- twice- as a solo artist and as a band. His band came 1st place out of eight bands!! Semifinals this week. Final next week - held at a large outdoors festival. Should be good.

I don't have a clue really of how long is my job for. It could end next Monday, or it can last long. Typical Spanish. Do you have any stuff we can listen to from the band of your friend?
-
Nope sorry they haven't got any stuff online. They are relatively new as a band, as in they constantly jam together, but were not 'officially' a band. (Seperately they all have music online, will look up the links) They made the finals though!! Will try to record some footage at the open air festival they are playing. These guys also got through- some good stuff and nice people too: http://www.myspace.com/mortdelamer http://www.myspace.com/wishlisttheband http://www.myspace.com/kinkybootbeastsuk

well, hello to Supernovians... My job is over as it was meant to be. I've got in touch with Sam Leach, he's well, he has a lot of projects... like a Liverpool girl band. I haven't recorded a thing but now I can. I was going to record the duets of I want it all with Queen and One Moment in time with Withney Houston... but yesterday I watched 2012 and I heard this song sung by Adam Lambert, and it reminds me a lot of those ballads that I can write... but I can not sing. So I guess I'll give a try... with the little help of Adam vocals as guide.... great song! Adam Lambert-Time for Miracles
-
so here it is [Time For Miracles - Adam Lambert and me[/size">](www.oliversanz.com/timeformiracles.mp3]<strong><span style=) I've just done 3 takes singing in different styles, and I've choosed take 3. I've used the heaviest compression I can use, and is still not as heavy as the original. I think Adam's original has something like reverb but not reverb.... so I added some reverb. And that's all.

well, he's not singing but speaking... I've always loved that Dylan song, and I prefer Dylan's version to... any other version.

Well, I've lost a job but I have a lot of time off. So I've finished my demos for the songs I want to record. I guess I'll post a mix of the demos here tomorrow. I feel it's gonna be a long time till I finish the recordings so I guess I'll post some tracks in the meantime not to feel so isolated while recording... The demos are simply me playing simple piano backgrounds and kind of me singing the songs, sometimes without lyrics... or saying things that are not even words... don't try to find sense to what I'm saying you know... it's kind of starting to be what I want it to be ok, here's a taster... (my favourite moment is 00.31 :lol Short moment of a demo

Sam Leach's band is called "the Liver Birds", yeah not the "Oliver birds" but almost... If you knew Sam here at the board, you can't miss his facebook profile... for instance now some guy has posted pics of the night Little Richard played in Liverpool with The Beatles...
-
Hollywood is gonna film yet another biopic of Marylin. And no, Scarlett Johansson is not gonna play her but Naomi Watts.

well, the recording of it it's on pm.com now... I'll make a little summary, cause maybe this will never happen again The Broadcast/So Glad To See You Here Ok, it was the H hour...and there were 5000 watching on that chat room, but only 900 logged in. And in the end less than a hundred posted or writed really... The screen on my Pc was like youtube.com, with a smaller screen up on the left. At o'clock time a video of Paul live started to play... and it seemed then that there was no chat with Paul but kind of that video and the fans just will talk about it... But some minutes later I saw a face on that screen... it was not a TV cam but a web cam so I wasn't sure of who he was . Then he said "It's starting!", and it was unmistakingly (or whatever the word is) Paul McCartney. The classic Paul, so funny, creative, unpredictable... 20th Century Mozart... The right part of the screen was a mess of messages, like some screens of those chats with thousands of people logged in. There was a message posted every second "fast and furious", Paul said. That's what you won't see at the video in pm.com. The messages were... 1) Paul please come to my country Paul said maybe to Brazil and Argentina, and not for the moment to Dubai. 2) Paul can you play "this song" at the concert Paul said playing Golden Slumbers was a nice idea. 3) Others... you'll see on the video... What's your fav book? How would a musical instrument be if you would built it? A guy called STEFAN won a GENYC Cd signed by Paul... and it's possibly our Stefan... After 15 minutes Paul called the band and they appeared behind of him (so yes, that was Paul)... "Mister Wickens" with his typical faking-to-be-struggling voice. He sang a little of Band on the run, in a bit of Freddie's style. I didn't make any question... (I've seen enough interviews of Paul to have all my possible questions answered...) and I didn't ask him to play anything or anywhere... (What the heck I do to try tell him what to do with his life???, especially...) I just said hello to everyone and Paul. And thank you. A very weird and special thing. The kind maybe I'll tell my grandchildren about (if I ever...). The most shocking thing is there was no host or no-one typing for Paul, it was just an ordinary web-cam with Paul talking like an ordinary Messenger talk, very natural.

No, it's not our Stefan, it's a guy who has a French blog called Maccablog. http://www.maccablog.com/

Cool thanks for sharing Oliver. Sounds great. (I missed it, like I missed the one years ago as well...) But anyway, having a literally music-packed weekend. Saw my friend's band play a 4 hour gig last night - those guys are relentless. Tonight I'm seeing the amazing Ray Davies in London. In the meantime, I'm gonna play some guitar. Trying to nail some late era Queen, somehow in that mood.
