Fan4-45years:
So, Paul will not be at Louisville in October, right? Just a show in his honor?
What kind of show in his honor? Paul will be there October 28th.

FOR REAL? I was told he wouldn't be (by someone on this board).

Well, who knows, right? How about you?

Nope...I can't make it.

I would only go if Paul were there, but it seems unlikely as the yum center doesn't hold that many people.

I don't understand this, why don't you think Paul will be there? It is a Paul McCartney concert. Yum Center probably holds as many people as all of the other indoor arenas he is playing. http://www.kfcyumcenter.com/events/detail/paul-mccartney-out-there-tour

My mistake. You are correct. I was thinking about Abbey Road on the River at the Galt.

I think they were doing something "in his honor" somewhere...maybe New Orleans? On the date that he cancelled. But he did reschedule all the dates for his performances.

Nice!

It would be cool if Paul showed up at the To Sir With Love Tribute. I honestly get mad at thinking this is Paul's first time in Louisville and we're such a Beatles city haha.
-
Yes, it would be so, so, nice of him. Peter Asher will be there and they are buds. Are you going to AROTR?

Yep. I'm probably going all weekend for this one. I usually go on the Saturday for the normal festival on Memorial Day Weekend. I've been going ever since it started.

I'm going to the show but not the soundcheck. Too pricy for me I would love to get them since Louisville is my hometown and this show is very special to me, but I can't exactly fork out that money. All I can say is that at the show and soundcheck you can expect a good time as well as some amazement. Just seeing Paul live will bring upon both.

For any of you coming in for Paul at the KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, please know that there are lots of Paul Goings on the weekend before. AND, on the Tuesday of the show, there is a free Event presented by Abbey Road on the River for everyone. I'll be at Soundcheck, but it will be terrific. Laurence Juber, Steve Holley, Terry Sylvester, and Denny Laine are coming in to perform at the To Sir With Love Event. Whole lotta alums in that lineup. And, this past May, when Laurence and Steve performed with The Cryers, we were taken back to some very good old days. The other performers at the event are excellent favorites of the Abbey Road on the River faithful. To Sir With Love kicks off on Friday before Paul on Tuesday. There is a promotional rate on event tickets until Friday, if you are interested. Here's the link: http://www.arotr.com/site/?page_id=3013 There also is an event rate available to The Galt House Hotel which is adjacent to the KFC YUM! Center. You should come play with us. If I can help, you may trust that I will. Peace and Love, Olivia Anne

Looks great, but I looked at the schedule, and there are no performances at all on Monday, the night before the concert?

I find it unbelievable that this show is in less than two weeks! It seemed like FOREVER away when it was rescheduled and it's just kind of been in the back of my mind. And, now I can't even deal with my own emotions!
