I thought it was Mick Jagger at first. I was more taken by the line "no illegal narcotics unless prescribed"...

I'm also up for a gathering pre-concert--great idea! I also hope to get to the gates as they open--I've been hearing 3 p.m. for that--anyone have any better idea about this?
like on Friday night, i am planing on getting onsite early in the morning on sat
The gates are opening at 3! I am wondering, though, what time I should head down to line up? Hrmm...what time will you folks be going? Drove by the site today on the way to work - they are really getting it set up! It looks great - even better than I imagined. The stage is actually starting to take shape. Maybe I'll snap some pics today or tomorrow and post. I won tickets yesterday!!! I, of course, already have mine, so I'm going to give mine to someone who is a huge fan, but can't afford to go.
I'll be there by 9:00 AM or so, remember, it's a general admistion show, first come, first served! I'm getting excited!

last time we did a pre-show and post show gathering in Toronto, it was lots of fun....back in 2005

I hope the beer gardens open when the gates do...otherwise, I'm up for a pre-show gathering (7 a.m.). wink twisted

Sorry - no beer in convenience stores (one thing I definitely miss from NL). Trying to win tickets for tomorrow night to attend an event where they will be drawing for soundcheck tickets. It is IMPOSSIBLE to even get through to get to the event - much less winning one of only THREE coveted sets! Argh. I'll keep trying...but in the meantime, I'm hoping I can nudge some good karma my way - FREE TICKETS!!! As you know I won tickets, but of course already have my own. I'm looking for two genuine hardcore fans who won't be going to the concert because they can't afford the tickets. I'm all about Karma, and I don't want to make money off my good fortune (I've been offered $100+ a piece for them), so I'm looking to give them away - the only thing I ask is for someone to "pay it forward"...buy someone behind you in the drive through their coffee, or whatever you can think to do. I have lots of friends who would take the tickets off my hands, but they are not huge fans, and I really want the tickets to go to someone who will appreciate, and deserves them. Obviously most anyone would love free tickets to anyone, but I'm really looking for the right person to give them to.

i wish i could take you up on that! Unfortunately I'm stuck in Ontario and can't afford to get there

The results of the 'Pick 5 Macca songs for the setlist' contest will be announced today at 5pm. There were 800 entries of 5 songs. I've expected all along that just by design the contest will produce 5 songs already played at every concert, but you never know our mini Bip Bop campaign might have succeeded. DCD Ltd.

I'm agree with you, there are many chance to see 5 songs always played by Paul during this years.. But I hope in a little surprise... just one song. My favourite is Lovely Rita P.s In which site the result will show?

They'll play them as the Top Five At Five... http://www.kool965fm.ca/mediaplayer/player.asp So a bit of suspense rather then just listing them off. DCD Ltd.

Off to Halifax in a few hours. Knowing that he will be doing Mull is certainly going to be worth the trip.

Well the much anticipated not-so-secret extra is out of the bag after that news item! Of more interest is also the snippet that indeed there will be some kind of dress rehearsal/sound check on the Friday night. Possibly due to having the Pipe Band to run through their appearance. I suspect there will be the usual seperate short sound check on the day itself. Winners to the sound check comp will be informed when to turn up, I suppose. The normal sound check would be more convenient as they could stay around for the show proper - if the Friday night they will have to make two journeys. Martin

Oh! I cannot wait! I'm leaving in about a hour (from New Jersey) to pick up my friend from the airport. We're staying in Portland, Maine tonight and should be in Halifax tomorrow...

Lisa, I wish you and your friend a great concert
