Thank you all for the tips on Halifax. I really hope the weather improves. If you are using space-heaters, imagine me, a Brazilian living in South Florida...anything below 20degC is pretty much cold for me
Ah - what part of Brasil are you from?! Myclose friend is also from there - Belo Horizonte. The temperature outside hasn't been too bad, but the damp weather has made it chilllier than it should be for this time of the year. Right now it is 17 degrees and foggy. It's calling for 20 degrees and cloudy on Thursday, but the forecast changes daily, so I wouldn't trust it until closer to the day. Anxious to see what it'll be like Saturday! I drive by the Common every day on the way to work - they are starting to set up! Hard not to get excited!
I am from São Paulo. I am pretty excited already!

Just to reiterate a past point I brought up, make sure all you US citizens have your required documents...not too long ago this past year, the laws changed and a drivers license will no longer get you into Canada. I just wanted to post this reminder in hopes that if someone hadn't realized this, they still have some time to do what they need to do. However, I am not certain of all the steps involved (never having travelled abroad before)...But I do know that you don't have to get a full passport; just something called passport card or something like that. Of course those of you travelling from other parts of the world, I'm sure you're all set since you would've needed a passport regardless.

I think Americans can still enter Canada without the documentation, it's getting back into the States that will be the problem. DCD Ltd.

Thanks. Look what I found: "Paul McCartney says he is looking forward to his concert in Halifax. In a pre-concert interview from his home in England, McCartney told the CBC's Tom Murphy that Neil Young told him he will love our city. McCartney says he plans to play a lot of his older tunes, rather than his new songs, because he says that's what the fans want to hear." I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

next Friday I'll be in Halifax!

It's coming up!

Hello everybody! I knew this morning from le Journal de Montréal the Paul McCartney's concert in Halifax will be shown on pay-per-view TVs in Canada like Indigo, Shaw-Star Choice and possibly Bell. It looks like the Quebec city's concert last summer. Bye! Alain Lacasse.

Any news about the radio contest about the 5 songs choose by fans to add in the Macca setlist??

I have a feeling we'll only know about the conclusion of the contest when Paul actual performs the songs in his set list. I know during the show in Kiev, he announced that Mrs Vanderbilt was a 'request'. If the contest results consists of songs that are already a staple part of his set list (such as Hey Jude), I wonder if he would still acknowledge their being part of this contest.

Contest still appears to be open but perhaps the results have already been forwarded to the rehearsal studio. The 50 slots to attend the July 10th soundcheck is an even more vague issue. I think they are winging it as they go. DCD Ltd.

There was something on a local radio station today where they had mentioned a YouTube video from the Quebec concert last summer where Paul makes a flub on "something". If you can identify what it is, they'll give you free tickets. I can't for the life of me figure out what it is...if it's a lyrical flub, or an information/fact flub. I already have my tickets, but I know some people that would LOVE to go, but can't afford it, so I'd love to win the tickets for them. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?
Didn't he fluff his words in Live And let Die just before the bangs started and creased up with laughter?
Yes, that's the one. Go for it and good luck. MartinMartin - You rock!!! You were right!!! Many thanks, I'm entered for the chance to win. If I win I'm hoping to give the tickets to friends who are huge fans, but have four children and can't afford the tickets. Cross your fingers for me! And, again, many thanks! Anyone hear any word on the "contest" for the 50 soundcheck attendees?

I'm not sure, but I think he flubbed a piano note vs a lyric...

Hi, sorry for ask, but..how did you know about a July 10th soundcheck? If that would be the case, then is a "rehearsal" or "dress rehearsal" for the mini-tour 2009- Soundcheck will be July 11, Paul always do his soundchecks THE DAY of the concert no matter if he did a pre-rehearsal the day before- are you sure Paul will do something July 10th? regards
