Just saw the article that Paul will perform Mull of Kintyre with a full pipe band onstage. OMG!!! How I would love to hear that!!!
Oh! I cannot wait! I'm leaving in about a hour (from New Jersey) to pick up my friend from the airport. We're staying in Portland, Maine tonight and should be in Halifax tomorrow...

Lisa, I wish you and your friend a great concert

Of more interest is also the snippet that indeed there will be some kind of dress rehearsal/sound check on the Friday night. Possibly due to having the Pipe Band to run through their appearance. I suspect there will be the usual seperate short sound check on the day itself. Winners to the sound check comp will be informed when to turn up, I suppose. The normal sound check would be more convenient as they could stay around for the show proper - if the Friday night they will have to make two journeys. Martin
Not to say that Paul won't do his traditional day of soundcheck but keep in mind in terms of getting the 'sound right' there are two other bands performing before him that day. Definitley not the regular formula for a Paul show so we'll have to wait and see what unfolds. DCD Ltd.

Are you taking the ferry? Just curious because we are planning on staying in Bangor tonight.

Well the much anticipated not-so-secret extra is out of the bag after that news item! This is all very exciting and I am not even attending the Halifix show! Please get us the set list as soon as possible.

EVERYBODY HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE CONCERT
-
The Halifax soundcheck will be at 7pm Friday night. 50 winners of the radio contest are being told to meet on Robie Street near Welsford by 6pm. They were testing the sound system Thursday afternoon at the concert site. You can hear it all over central Halifax.

I'm agree with you, there are many chance to see 5 songs always played by Paul during this years.. But I hope in a little surprise... just one song. My favourite is Lovely Rita P.s In which site the result will show?
They'll play them as the Top Five At Five... http://www.kool965fm.ca/mediaplayer/player.asp So a bit of suspense rather then just listing them off. DCD Ltd.
#5 LET IT BE #4 LIVE AND LET DIE #3 MULL OF KINTYRE #2 YESTERDAY #1 HEY JUDE Bip Bop missed the cut at #6 DCD Ltd.

Hello everybody!, Incredible! Anyway, he will perform them anyway : . 5 classics. What about Oh darling, Wanderlust, Beautiful night? Those five songs, he will do it. Anyway, I'll be there with 41 passengers from Montreal and Quebec city. I'm so excited. It will be my first trip to Halifax. Thank you very much! Bye! Alain Lacasse.

I'm shocked, simply shocked. When is the last time he played 'Mull of Kintyre' or 'Bip Bop' live?

The last time he played Mull was just in 2005 when he played Toronto. He goofed up near the end and had a laugh. He's being pro-shot this time so he better nail it. Bip Bop on the otherhand got played during the Wings Tours in the early 1970s. Bit of a joke vote there, as Paul has said many times it's one of his least favourite tracks. Thanks to the poster who mentioned the 7PM soundcheck. I'll be documenting it the best I can from the wrong side of the fence. DCD Ltd.

I would've loved rare live performances though, Mull is a good choice though but was pretty much expected to be played in Nova Scotia
