Let's make a deal, if you try to do Mary Hopkin's Those were the days, I'll try You're the voice (maybe without feeling... :lol. I only don't know what key to use, original or one key higher... but forget about that strange percussion all over the song...
One day...I will post one more S&G song soon (it's already finished) and then I am going to stop recording for a while...I need to go look for a job AND finish my dissertation...no more playing for me for a while!
the thing is that anyway, I'm becoming less interested in recording covers. Virtually all the covers is do is to try to learn something, mostly about some singer, and lately they are songs I don't even have sung in my all life (mad world, are you lonesome tonight, rags to riches)... But I can't spent my days just learning. Except for some exceptional recordings that have already started I'll focus again on my songs. And also there's a feeling growing on me called "I want to play live"... when I look back my videos of that 2008's night, it's quite embarassing... I could do it better now... the only thing I don't know how to solve is those loud "keyboard clicks"... At least I had feeling... I know some people cried in the audience. One woman told me she cried on Piano Man... now out of youtube because Billy Joel don't like covers, it's seems... here's my singing prehistory Let it be (live)

Front row, FRONT ROW at Paul's concert yesterday...can hardly believe it. Had the time of my life, I danced and sang the whole concert from the beginning note to the end... Paul was amazing! My voice is almost gone now but who cares? More tonight, am still at Angela's now! Cellphone's battery died during concert so no pictures and videos from me. I'll make sure that doesn't happen in Dublin.

evie, beautiful work! who'd of thunk you are the same person who, a few years back, was ashamed of her "nana's"....hahahaha. very very pretty this is.

Were you and the center or at one side, I mean really close to Paul sometimes? Yes, time of my life, that's it. I've never seen anything like the transformation people has on Paul concerts... If you ever go to a Paul concert with someone that's not a fan, he will be the one who notices more that... From the first note... from appearing with the Stuart Stucliffe's Hofner and singing "I say yes, you say no...", that simple.

A little bit to the side (where Rusty was), but still okay...there was one moment where I'd like to think that Paul noticed me and Mieke waving at him...he smiled in our direction at least. In Liverpool last year I was on the 2nd row but right in front of Paul...now more to the side, but there's something really great about being on the front row as well!

Hey guys, I was at 'Good Evening Holland' in Arnhem, last wednesday. And I'd like to make a DVD of this. (For personal/particular use) Herefor, I'd like to use some youtube videos. No problem, to me. But... then, the sound and video-quality will randomly change. So, I'd like a menu where you can choose 'Play all' and 'Choose song' And after every song a second pause. Does anyone know how to do this?

Front row! It can't get much better than that. So you didn't take any pictures? Well, I am sure there was someone there with a camera who took pictures at the show. Have fun in Dublijn! I wish I could be there.

So Paul smiled at you and Mieke? Very cool!!! I think the smile was for me though.

No none happens to have a cover of John Farnham's You're The Voice sitting on their hard drives, have you? Just...don't ask, haha. But that song is so stuck in my head now and I'm listening to it way more than I probably should.
I started a track long time ago, never did more than just start it, lost interest in it after a while, that happens quite often ...the song was major hit here in 1987...
DO IT!!!!!! FINISH IT!! DOOOOOO IT!!! I will fall to my knees and worship you forever! (not that you are actually waiting for that to happen :lol
I can do that song! Will you worship ME then???

It's finally here!!! The Simon & Garfunkel medley by me and toytoypiano! A whole lotta love (but also hard work) went into this project.... Toytoy is such an amazing guitar player, my mouth dropped open when part of this video first dropped into my mailbox before I had sent him anything, and to be honest, I was very reluctant to participate in it. We first tried adding my vocals to only a handful of songs, and leave the rest to toytoy, but that didn't sound right at all, so I ended up singing most of it with him anyway....I sent him stuff song by song, layer by layer, and he did a wonderful job of editing everything together. Anyway, have fun watching, and please, do watch the whole thing, because the way he plays it is just fantastic. It sounds like one big song, and yet there are 53 (!!!) Simon & Garfunkel songs in there somehow! And hey, at the very end, there's a body part of me appearing (and no, it's not my head! ) Part 1
Part 2 Part 3 In the summer a ten-week long documentary about the Tokaido road in Japan ran on Belgian tv, and I had a lot of discussions about it with toytoy, so that's where the idea came from for the background of the video. 53 stations on the Tokaido road....53 S&G songs in the medley, you see. And the drawings of the Japanese artist Ando Hiroshige who painted all the stations of the road in the 19th century make a great background! Tell me which is your favourite part of the 53 songs! Mine is A Heart In New York...it's just perfect, the harmonies...everything! Happy holidays!!! -

Hang on... hang on... ...(tap ... tap-tap!) I think we've got a pulse! The Global Wings thread lives! Hi, all. And Happy 2010! I'd like to make my first GW post of the new year official by posting some new music. My songwriting partner/on-and-off-again bandmate, Dan, and I are working on originals together. Here's a newly finished track, an instrumental called "Bela": AUDESE & DAN - BELA (2009): http://rapidshare.com/files/330885096/Audese___Dan_-_Bela__12-2-2009_.mp3.html See y'all around! -audi

This song's mesage is both obvious and ambiguous. It's simple, kinda' soulful and I use my "Curtis Mayfield voice" here. I wrote the lyrics to reflect my positive, inclusive perspective on second-chances, redemption, salvation -- it's all the same to me.
