I'm working on an industrial/metal project with some friends: Here's an early mix to our very obviously unfinished song, "We Were Warned": http://www.zshare.net/audio/88215822b7881c0a/

That sounds fantastic, Oliver You're quite enterprising! Super
Well, maybe nothing comes out of this, but it's better to try than to do nothing. Or to just "wait". Trying to copy the spirit of what Sam Leach did half a century ago. I've got the place, now I need some more bands and the audience. I guess I'll beat that day The Beatles played to an audience of four people in a Sam concert.

quite trippy

as usual, I'm an optimist and things are harder than I thought... What I'm finding in my kind of "promotor" thing is that most musicians don't want to perform regularly. They prefer a one night show once a year or so. So, well... I should go into... self-promoting. am I so weird to want to play regularly? That how is supposed to be.
-
Yeah, in my experience they do. My musician friends can't get enough of playing live... a couple play 2-3 times a week in the 'open mic' circuit in my area.

Then is I'm not finding those kind of musicians. I have a created a jam session for next Sunday. I placed an add, we don't know each other.
-
Good luck with it! Let us know how it goes.

I guess I'll say something about it. Anything can happen. We have booked 3 hours and we have never meet.

jam session update. More people are joining in to the Sunday meeting. We sort of agreed some songs to play if we don't know what to do... it's a jam session and we don't even know each other... something simple that everybody knows... so we choosed Smoke on the water and With or without you... now many guitar players are joining in so I've suggested Rockestra Theme.

[[color=cyan">Gratia](
]<strong><em><span style=) ... and what is Gratia? Gratia is one of the movements of one of Paul's classical work, Ecce Cor Meum. This is kind of my rock and roll, pop arrangement. I did something similar with Celebration years ago but that recording is lost. I wanted to do this since I heard the piece, so why not?. The original is a 11 minute piece and this is kind of a summary to make it a song. Paul told the soprano to sing this without the most typical vibrato in opera and to do it more in a pop-like vibrato, sweeter, like the most usual thing in Paul himself. (I guess there is a demo of Paul of this somewhere singing it). There's almost nothing of my usual max distortion while playing guitar here. I guess the lyrics are correct, I searched them in google. -
well, I get to get no noise while recording the keyboards or vocals, now all there is left is not having noise while recording the guitar. Original from Ecce Cor Meum 11 minutes
3 minutes 2: -
I'm going back after the jam session. Quite peculiar, we didn't know each other, we just when playing hoping others knew the songs. Sometimes it worked, sometimes don't. The mics produced a lot of feedback so there was much not a way to sing... In the end I sang with no mic over all the noise, singing operatic... awful. I hope the next place will have a better audio system. If not I should learn operatic versions of rock and roll classics... I'm not gonna. :-X

I added guitar/bass/drum tracks to an online buddy's cover of Elvis' "Hot Dog," a song from the Loving You soundtrack 1957. His Youtube video before my tracks were added:
The track after I mixed in additional instruments: -
Added tracks to his cover of Elvis' "One Night". If you ask me, Stephen sounds amazingly like a Sun Records-era Elvis! Uncanny! ONE NIGHT (Stephen's original guitar/vocal):

I must listen to that Audi... one of these days we could finish that track from MAF... Well, the news is the jam is gonna repeat. All the musicians want to repeat, a bit of a surprise for me, that I was not very happy with what we did though I was the promoter of the thing... So we'll play again. It is not really a jam cause we play songs. We're now discussing the ones we'll play, rock and roll classics. Police, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Whitesnake, U2, Van Halen, The Stones Some suggested I could choose something for Queen. I've choosen Bohemian Rhapsody X-D, a bit of a joke maybe, sure it's not gonna be boring.
-
Are guys going to video/record your practices/jams? I'd like to see the footage.
-
I don't have a clue. First day was supposed to be a jam session but it was not a jam session but playing songs. And there was not supposed to be a second date... so I don't know. Maybe someone with a mobile phone, but if somebody records then he can't play. It's the very first time we play together so we get confused in the songs, cause it's hard that we all remember the song as it is... Smoke On The Water was great cause it's the same thing over and over. But Boh Rhap it's not gonna be that easy

as for me it would be kind of the same of the recordings I show... 90% of what I record are whole takes, like if it was done live. Anyway Cubasis doesn't allow split tracks easily... In the studio (well, at home lol) you can do several takes and only show the ones you like... but you can do that anyway if you record a video... It would be kind of the same only you'll see me and the audio quality would be worst. What if I post here (not youtube just audio link) that song from MAF as it is now?
-
Yeah...anything would be of interest to me.

in the meantime I'm gonna post a link to what we already have done with Mr. Bellamy... because if not I guess we're just gonna forget about it. I think this started in a thread called "Let's do a band in the board" or so. Some guy (not me) recorded the piano and I was told to record the vocals. But it still that, piano+vocals. It need especially drums, then some sounds here and there.... I went back to my old days, copying Paul. Not the thing I like the most to do now, but that was the way to continue with the recording. Hope someone does the drums. [Mister Bellamy (in progress, piano + vocals)-Let's do a band with people on the board project[/size">](www.oliversanz.com/misterbellamy.mp3]<span style=)
