Do we know where Paul is right now? Billy Joel's 65th Birthday Concert is tomorrow at MSG, and I've had a little voice inside me saying....he might show up! since I got the tickets....
I was thinking the same thing. The way he jets around Liverpool one day and NY the next would not be surprising!
I kn0w they are good friends and share the same lawyer, but I would consider it unlikely since this two-week period is obviously his time with Bea. RamblinRed
As we learned with Shea Stadium, Paul could probably tuck Beatrice in somewhere in London, hop on a plane to NYC, and walk onstage 10 minutes before the concert is over, and then be back home for Beatrice before she's even rolled over.
Sure, but this is probably not THAT big an occasion for Paul to drop everything to get to. Won't rule it out, but hey, maybe Billy will show up when Paul closes Candlestick Park!
YAWN... Billy...Grohl...it's like "Dial a local" The only guest (if there is one ) on the West Coast I want to see is Richard Starkey MBE.

I saw Ringo perform at the Ohio State Fair back in teh 90s - my first time seeing a former Beatle live.

The difference here is that in that case I believe that was at the end of his custody time so he was free after her performance at school. Now he is just coming off a tour leg and I believe they have a 3 wk on 3 wk off pattern on custody. RamblinRed

For those who guessed my clue about a non U.S. iconic venue was Budokan. You were obviously correct . Of course by now, that clue is way over a month long. Wonder why it took so long
-
This is turning into a very "historic" World Tour for Paul, with several iconic venues being played!

Congrajulations Bob, you have correctly picked all the venues. You have done brilliant work again, thankyou for your efforts ! I know its still early in the year but have you heard anything about any UK dates yet?
-
I bet that the next tour will be mostly European dates and little U.S. dates. Something like the 2011 leg of the On the Run Tour. I feel strongly that this is how it's going to happen.

...and speaking of concerts in Japan (and S. Korea), is there any more talk of additional shows this time around in Asia? With only 3 scheduled so far in Japan and one in Korea, it seems that there are quite a few gaps in the dates listed: Saturday, May 17th -- National Stadium, Tokyo Sunday, May 18th -- National Stadium, Tokyo Saturday, May 24th -- Yanmar Stadium Nagai -- Osaka Wednesday, May 28th - Jamsil Sports Complex Main Stadium--Seoul, S. Korea
With the Budokan show just announced for May 21, the pieces now fall into place.

It took him this long to count the money.

Way too early at this point for that...I would venture to guess at least August if not later for them to plan anything else. Of course that would depend on when they plan to come back out if at all.

World tour....No. I think what he means is that he is returning to several historic venues that the Beatles played..Dodger Stadium, Candlestick Park and Budokan. Unfortunately I think that there will be a period of no news now until August or further depending on when and if they will be coming back out. If rumors of more South America shows in September are true maybe earlier. But historically since he has started these "mini" tours he will probably not be back until November/December if he comes out at all. Not that things can't change, it's just been his pattern since 2009. Only reason he was "Out There" in October last year was to promote the new album and they weren't real concert appearances
-
Two cities in Brazil are now being rumored for october/november: São Paulo and Recife. The venues would be the recently built soccer stadiums. Paul used to have a rule of not repeating cities within a short period of time (outside the US and Europe, at least), but now that he has accepted to return to Montevideo, Santiago, Lima, Tokyo and Osaka, anything is possible.

OK...maybe not a "world" tour (but if you consider all the continents he's played during the "Out There" tour since May 2013 it may very well be one), but you have to admit it is historic just for the venues he'll be playing in.
