Comparing Argentina to Europe makes no sense. Contrary to popular belief, Europe is not a country, so the fact that he played three cities last year on a continent with a population of 700+ million people doesn't really mean a thing. I could probably list 40 European countries that Paul has not played in since 2010 (most not in the past ten years and many not at all).
BINGO!
I only answered a post that mistakingly said "No shows in Europe for many years", I didn't make any comparisons. And all the fans complaining about no shows in England since 2011, well, we had no shows in Argentina since 2010 so wait for your turn and don't be selfish. Fans in Australia had no shows since 1993! They should be doing the bitching and moaning.
I'm sorry....did I single you out at all? I said "BINGO!" in agreement with the poster that I quoted.
I know what you meant, my dear friend

It seems EU/UK promoters are better at keeping secrets, so who knows? Maybe there are negotiations going on that we know nothing about.

The first tentative date for the Brasilia concert was Nov 20, now is Nov 23. if Paul does Buenos Aires on Nov 15, what will he do until Nov 23? And that is the question, brothers and sisters.

There are 3 rumors about Argentina: november 2014, first half of 2015 and november 2015.

No Paul in Portland for 10 years, but Elton's coming 25 Sept. I'll be there, first time ever. And to think I used to defend Venus and Mars to Captain Fantastic back in 1975...

If he's still on the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 40th Ann. tour...you're in for an EXCELLENT night. Elton's shows are a pinch shorter than Paul's however, Elton knows how to honor his career. Albeit, they're almost all hits not so many album tracks however, it's the hits of his entire career....even the ones you've forgotten about from the 80's and 90's!

I have seen Elton John in Albuquerque twice, and he is amazing! So many great songs!!

Elton is fantastic! You're gonna have a great time at his show.

Now this has sparked MY interest: I have a lot of Elton faves that seem to not get played live very much. Are you talking about gems like: -Mama Can't Buy You Love -Club At The End Of The Street (I remember buying the "cassingle") -Healing Hands -Runaway Train (his Clapton duet for Lethal Weapon) -A Word In Spanish

The first one is pretty much crap (IMO of course). Second and third ones is a superb song along with the rest of the great "Sleeping with the past" album. RT is nice but not among my favorites. A word in Spanish is a nice song with a super cool vid. None of those are on the current setlist lol

Too bad. Wixy had me excited for a minute there.
-
It's just like McCartney: How many times do we need to hear "Tiny Dancer" and "Levon"??? Oy. Of course, "I'm Still Standing" is too good to EVER remove from the set.

That's because you are -- as George Clinton would say -- devoid of da' funk.

That's cause I live and breathe this Philadelphia freedom. From the day that I was born I've waved the flag.

I was referring to "The One" and "Believe" for the 90's, which don't seem to get out much anymore. And for what it's worth, "I'm Still Standing" was really the only song that sucked when I saw him last year. He can't sing it. It's too many words, the key is too low, and he just shouts the chorus. It was garbage.

Can we get back on topic now? )
