I did but thanks for the post about it! I've read that only 2500 copies of vinyl will be pressed this time around so I'm really going to have to try to grab one of those! The original goes for around $70 minimum.. I look forward to reading Derek Taylor's liner notes on the record too, I cannot find them anywhere on line. There is any image of the rear cover in the link you sent but when I enlarge it it becomes to blurry to read, damn! Thanks again dc!

kapoo, no problem. Do you know if there is a Best Of Nilsson coming out when the box set is released?

There is actually, and it looks like a really good set of songs, its a double disk, 'The Essential Nilsson'. Its already available, $12! Here you go http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Harry-Nilsson/dp/B00BQH9TV2?&linkCode=wey&tag=fothloofha-20

And dcshark, here is my set of the true 'Essential Nilsson' tracks. Buy these off iTunes or whatever, download from these links, and with a few exceptions I left off.., you will be pretty well set my friend! The only ones I couldn't find were two covers.. River Deep-Mountain High, which you find only a snippet of at the link below.. too bad cause that cover is a fantastic vocal from Harry, and also the song Walk Right Back is part of a live medley, another great rendition though. Beautiful stuff: Disk 1: This Could Be The Night (Nilsson/Spector) -
1941 - Cuddly Toy - Without Her - Don't Leave Me - One - Together - Bath - Mr. Richland's Favorite Song - Open Your Window - I Guess The Lord Must Be In NYC - Rainmaker - Me And My Arrow - Think About Your Troubles - Disk 2: Gotta Get Up - Down - Coconut - Jump Into The Fire - Turn On Your Radio - Take 54 - Daybreak - All My Life - Mucho Mungo/Mt. Elga (Lennon/Nilsson) - What's Your Sign? - Pretty Soon There'll Be Nothing Left for Everybody - Thursday (Here's Why I Did Not Go to Work Today) - Goin Down - Old Bones - Bonus Disk 3 - the Covers: River Deep-Mountain High (Spector/Barry/Greenwich) - City Life (Bill Martin) - Walk Right Back (Sonny Curtis) - Everybody's Talking (Fred Neil) - Vine St. (Randy Newman) - Living Without You (Randy Newman) - Without You (Evans/Ham) - Let The Goodtimes Roll (Goodman/Lee) - At My Front Door (Abner/Moore) - Subterranean Homesick Blues (Bob Dylan) - Save The Last Dance For Me (Pomus/Shuman) - Just One Look/Baby I'm Yours (Carroll/Payne/McCoy) - Sail Away (Randy Newman) - -

No sweat dc! I hope some people might listen to them. I also joined a Nilsson group on FaceBook yesterday (which is awesome!) so I was compiling that for that group as well and had some extra motivation! There's a couple great tracks I left off.. check out the Moonbeam Song, probably my most aggregious omission.. its off Nilsson Schmilsson though and there's not a bad track on that album. Driving Along is another pleasant one from that record. Peace!

I'm going to do a cover of this song, just love Harry's performance. his last professionally recorded release in 1993 How About You

By the way, k: I listened to that Nilsson-produced version of Ringo Starr's "Back Off Boogaloo." Back when you'd posted a couple of his tracks in my "Funk" thread, you should've included that one, too. Man, he could really put a stamp on a song.
