ive been on a old sepultura kick check them out with max
Those death-metal vocals are a bit much for me. I always wonder what those singers will sound like when they get older. It must take some skill to do that, though. Every time I try it, I cough like a madman. I like that singer's guest-vocal on Evanescence's big hit a few year's ago (can't remember the band he's in) -- that's about my limit on those types of vocals.
haha i love it both death metal and clear vocals and screams i asked a death metal vocalist a few years back after a show(i forget the band right now) and i asked him how does he get his vocals that deep and he said that had to practice day in and out alot o proctice are you talking aboy that bring me back to life song by evanescences i think the guy was from the band 12 stones
Yep! That's it.
it funny about that i had bought a ipod shuffle this morning used at a swapmeet and out of alot of hip hop songs on there, that song was on there and i thought of this thread and post

^^, Ah yes, I saw them support Rammstein way back in Feb 2005. They were good. Saw them again at sonisphere festival a couple of years ago and they were./...average I suppose. I like the song I'm Not Jesus which featured a good vocal performance from Corey Taylor, one of my all time idols.

I watched a somewhat recent Megadeth concert today. Mustaine can still shred the axe, but he's losing his vocal chops, unfortunately.

Yeah Dave's voice has definitely lost a lot in recent years. I heard they recently started tuning down songs to help him reach the notes. Still love them, they were my first concert and I still love those first 4 albums very much.

Rip Clive (on drums)Nice one!! While I was in London last year it was arranged with help from Dennis Stratton for me to go and visit Clive at his house. While I was there we watched some old Maiden videos, his partner Mimi showed me a ton of pictures and I got to see a bunch of Clive's Gold Records from the Maiden albums. They were so gracious to open up their home and let me come and hang out. They gave me a Number Of The Beast t-shirt which I wore when I saw Maiden in NJ last year. For my money Clive was the greatest metal drummer, it was a special night for me when I got to meet him. Here is one of my faves from when Clive was in the group

Indeed, RIP Clive Burr. He was an excellent drummer and an integral part of Maiden from 1980-82, and thus the maiden and Metal story itself. Those 3 classic albums were all the better for his drumming. When I heard the news, I played Killers in his honour and as a salute. I hope he is getting a very decent spot in that awsome house band up there. The first time I saw Maiden live, it was a benefit gig at the Hammersmith Apollo on the 2/9/05, the Early Years tour , in aid of the Clive Burr Trust. An excellent gig, at at the end they wheeled him out to say hi to the crowd, and he was surrounded by all 6 Maiden members. Excellent. That is a very cool story Shaun, so how do yo know Dennis Stratton? Are you freinds, or did you seek him out as a Maiden Fan?

I am just a fan , Dennis is a great guy I had a really fun time meeting him as well!!!! When I was visiting Clive and Mimi one of the CliveAid shows she was showing me photos of was a pretty special gig ,Maiden did not play but Bruce and Paul Di'Anno both sang that night. I wonder how many times they have been on the same show.
