I'm soooo happy I just had to share the news with you dear Magyar Boardies. Please read my report below Last Sunday (Oct 21) there was a parliamentary election in Poland, a 40 million EU member state. In 1989 Poland was the first country in the communist block to shake off the chains of Moscow's rule. In 1999 Poland joined NATO. In 2004 Poland joined the European Union. In 2005 there was a parliamentary election which was won by the party of the Kaczynski twin brothers - Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice). For the last two years the party was taking full control of the country's life using undemocratic methods, nepotism, new self-proclaimed secret police which was fighting opposition. The government's ignorance in running foreign affairs and running the country's economics was simply stunning and humiliating. The nation has been divided into two fighting groups by the policy of the hatred. Poland has been ridiculed abroad. In order to retain power the leading party formed a coalition with an extremely populistic peasants party and an extremely nationalistic and anti-european Polish Families party. In true fact, the Kaczynski's party only enjoys support in rural areas and among elderly people. With low turnout in 2005 that was enough to take power despite strong opposition. In an early election that took place last Sunday the Polish people one more time showed the bemused world what incredible resistance and SOLIDARITY they can exercise when in need. In unprecedented citizens' mobilization since 1989 an amazing turnout of some 55% (in 2005 turnout was mere 40%) substantially augmented by the young and educated masses of the towns and especially bigger cities (where turnout reached 75% and more), the Kaczynski's government has been brought down at last The winner is Platforma Obywatelska (Citizens' Platform) led by Solidarity hero Donald Tusk and supported by the legendary Solidarity leader Lech Walesa. The results are as follows: PO - 42% PiS - 32% Once again, like in 1980 and 1989, the Polish people have shown the world what a pro-European, pro-democratic and peace-loving nation they are! If you feel like passing on your Congratulations, please feel free to do so below I'm so happy!!! (you can't even imagine! the (bad) dream is over!!! what a relief!!!)

Congrats and I'm very happy for you, Pawel! I hope some crucial change like yours will take place in Hungary very soon. As you may know the situation in Hungary is quite similar to what you described. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

is it islandic language?
-
it's Hungarian
-
cyrille17:
is it islandic language?
No, but a very unique language, not related closely to any other languages....it is said to belong to the Finno-Ugric language family but it is also highly debated and I don't believe it either despite having an intermediate language certificate in Finnish. P.S.: I like your Macca site.

Sziasztok! A Help! DVD deluxe kiadását látta már itthon valaki? Mennyibe kerül? Mert a neten kisebb vagyont kérnek érte. Remélem majd ennek is lemegy az ára, mint a Space Within US dvd-nek. Kriszti
