Hi Starr, You're welcome. Barry usually does answer questions. He answered mine a couple of times. I'm glad you got an answer from him. My wekeend was alright. I just ahd a picnic at my house and ate alot. Maybe we could ask Barry who his favorite beatle is. Sam it is good to see you back and i'm sorry to hear about your cold. IT will get better I'm sure. Also it is good to see you back Mike. I still have the package you snet me. I couldn't read what your last names was. Is it Kaplas or Kaplan as in Gabe Kaplan?

Paulfan:
Hi Jen I'll reply to you. I'm sure you still remember my request about how the world was before the Beatles came along.
Hi Giri, Sorry to be so rude as not to answer your question. I do think about it a lot though, because there's so much to say. Did you see Paul's Red Square special? To me, that summed up so much of it. I could tell you about how music changed and clothing changed and hair length changed but it was more than all that. I was brought up in the 50's (and moved to the states in 57) when Americans were afraid of the Russians and we had bomb drills at school where we would get under the desks in case an atomic bomb was dropped...as though that would help. People were uptight and nervous about anyone who was different. Along came the Beatles, who managed to show us all not to take ourselves so seriously and things changed drastically. To this day, if I'm feeling bad, I put on a Beatles album---or some solos---and I feel better. Beatle music breaks barriers, tears down walls, relaxes the mind so we can all float downstream... I hope that answers some of your question. And I totally agree with Oliver's war theory. It's not so far out (the way out is in, after all). Hugs, Jennifer
Hi Jen, That is okay. At least you answered it now. Oliver did seem to make some very good points on here. I also think the Beatles music brigns people together and am listening to Rubber Soul Now. Beofre that I listened to Help and love George's I Need You and The Night Before. In My Life sums up how I feel about people I knew in the past. I do know how hair length changed and music changed after the Beatles came along but didn't know about people being uptight and nervous about people who were different. I do remember hearing about the bomb drills and yes I saw Paul's A&E special. I thought that communism ended when Gorbachav got out of office. WHen you say people were uptight about anyone who was different do you mean people hated anyoen of a different color or nation or what do you mean? I myself felt different growing up. The Beatles got me thorugh my insecure teenage years. I remember believing us guys had to be macho and being ashamed to be Indian but listening to songs such as Ebony and Ivory and Imagine helped me realize that it is okay to be colored and to respect women. Paul says it is okay for a man to cry which makes me feel good. John on the other hand thought me that fighting wasn't everything and Paul thoguht me that too. Anyway tell me what diferences were people uptight about?

Hi, Sam and everyone. Guess who has seen "Jailhouse Rock" Elvis' movie for the first time... LOL OMG
I've seen when he goes to the record labels and they all refuse him... He searches for a manager... But comes a point when he is going nowhere. So they try to put his single on the radio...
Guess what I though then "Now it could be when people phone to the radio station to ask them to put Elvis' song"... and that was happened on the movie. LOL Exactly the advice you gave me. Then the manager hears him and signs him. The absurd point of the movie is that the manager is hearing exactly that radio casually... Maybe it's for this that you advice me to record it in a cassette, if my CD is on the radio.
I expect the phone call of the managers soon, I could try to do the radio thing... But well they now seem to have a possitive impression of me... maybe I wouldn't have to do this "extra-thing" to them. But it could work for another managers...
