Starr, the lovely person above this post, introduced me to this famous thread. Thanks!!! Oh, and of course to the famous nice Sam Leach! Hey SAM!! I think I shall introduce myself. I'm Kathy...or Guitar Kat =^..^=, either way. I'm 16 years old, and I love music. And I'm trying to introduce the teenage "brainwashed" population at my school to cool music. Trying, there is always hope. I'm a musican, and well...hi. I want to read your book, but I'm sad to tell you I can't really find it in Canada where I live. Do you think you could try to help me out. I'm also...*cough more about me... I'm so self-centered sometimes...* I'm also trying to become a Music Teacher and everyone believes I have a very high chance to get in to university and get it. I'm very hopeful, only becuase I'm so not a scientist! Thank you Sam! And thank you Starr for introducting me to this wonderful thread.

Hi Guitar Kat Welcome to the thread but I'm just off to golf now so I'll get back to you later today when I return. Love and hugs. Sam.
-
Sam, Did you get my email that I sent you a few days ago? It looks like your site will be number one again! Congratulations! Samcat

Hi Kat (Guitar Kat =^..^=). I like the use of the symbols..cute. You're hoping to become a music teacher which you'll do. It's only a question of wanting to be one. Regarding the book the best way is to order one by sending me an e-mail with your address to sam@samleach.com. Then you simply put a cheque in the mail for $30, which includes the mailing costs, and I'll put the book in the post...signed to you of course. BTW I'm half Canadian. Nice chatting with you. Love and hugs. Sam.

Hey Sam hope you had a good game of golf! Have a great weekend everyone! Tashi are we going to meet up at Peter's saturday night sometime? Let me know!

Hi, Sam. Things have changed here bout my "producers"... There are good and bad news. The good ones are that they don't want to make my music sound like Britney Spears or so ("That would a crime"). Just "pop".... well... BUT... They want me to pay them for every song they arrange and record for me. 450 € every song. Well, that's OK. But how will I know that they are gonna act like a manager. Why would they gave them it to the record labels if they won't win a penny from it? I've thought of ask them that I could pay less money for the studio work but in exchange they would have a % of my future profits. Just to see if my songs are really going "somewhere".
-
I'm back just to tell you that Let It Be is #2 in the World Chart. http://www.mediatraffic.de/albums.htm Would Britney stand #1 a week more?....

Oliver. Tread carefully. Have a lawyer in on any `deals.' Cheers Sam.

Aww, thanks Sam!!!! I love wierd symbols...it's what I am. But I'm not the artist formally (or normally) known as Prince! Is that Canadian money, or American....? Becuase, I wouldn't know, becuase I don't do cheques....my parents do. I'm sure if I get the cash together *it's going to HAVE to be after Christmas...I'm guranteed some money there from outside sources....* So, would you sign my copy of my book too, Sam? *Hugs!* Love.. Yea, being half Canadian is better than no Canadian at all. *No, I'm not making fun of you other people...* Thanks Sam!

And another thing....why am I always something connected with "cute". *sigh* lol.....
-
Hi Kathy (Guitar Kat). Whenever you're ready just e-mail me with the order and we'll exchange addresses. It would have to be US $30. And of course I'd sign it to you. Re the Cute' thing...well Cats are cute...right ?! Love and hugs Sam.

I know possibly the best lawyer in Barcelona. The trouble is that the thing is on Madrid. I think I could ask them to send me an example of a possible written deal and my lawyer could take a look it. I don't mind if I pay much money for it or if I've got to give a high % of the future to them. I only don't want to get fooled and to assure myself that it's worth to do it and to pay it. At least they share my point of views about music. BTW, I'm in the chapter of the legendary first concert in the Tower Ballroom. The mist and the... more than 4,000 people. In The Let It Be-naked booklet the Beatles talk about how nervous they were on his first gig on the Ballroom and how that nerves went away a little the 2nd gig... and turn into an "maybe ok" feeling the 3 rd. They compared it to a possible Live comeback from the band, what eventually become the Rooftop Concert. The Beatles nervous to play live in 1969... Sam, you were GREAT relaxing the artists and making them feel confident. Putting them first to play with less people or doing previous rehearsals (Cilla Black) to assure themselves. Nervous are part of the performer until he's sure of the audience. IT could be the greatest obstacle of them all. I think that Paul was meant to be the Lead guitar on The Beatles. But when came the moment of doing his first Live guitar solo Paul just couldn't do it. So George did it instead of Paul and become the lead guitarist. Paul himself said that he hadn't been able to play guitar live solos till 1989.

Hi Oliver. You're doing the right thing using a lawyer to advise you. I'm really pleased you're liking the book. The tower was special and I've always maintained was where Beatlemania really began. I'm off back to bed now...goodnight. Cheers Sam.
