Sam Leach - KEEP

Paulfan. The point I was trying to make was there seemed to be something between John and the girl who made the request. Obviously whatever it was it upset them both. Cheers Sam.
-
Sam, when I went to vote earlier this morning, it put you up by one vote. I think I was a latent hippie, too, until I went away to college. I graduated from high school in 1969 and didn't even know until our 20th class reunion that people were smoking dope, but I figured it out once I got into dorm life. roll Especially, when I went to graduate school at one of the hippie capitals of the US, the University of Colorado in Boulder, still a big hippie town.
-
Hi again Paulfan. I'd forgotten to say that after the show I asked John who was the girl and he looked a little sheepish...but didn't reply. Cheers. Sam.
-
Hi Linda (Maccascruff). I too was a latent hippie but as I was newly married never got into it. But I was there in spirit...especially sticking flowers down rifle barrels. Love and hugs Sam.
-
I'm a practicing hippie...
-
Hi Lisa Well, they say practice makes perfect. Keep it going !! The hippy era was a beautiful time. Love and hugs Sam.

BTW everyone. I hadn't been keeping an eye on the date...and I missed an important one yesterday. On Jan 25th 1961 I saw The Beatles performing for the first time. 43 years ago...wow. The story of that starts on my home page at www.samleach.com Cheers Sam.
-
Hi Sam wow 43 years ago?? Time sure flies doesnt it?? I wasn't even born then yet!! Just think February 9th is the Beatles 40th anniversary, just doesn't seem possible!!! Remember the Grammys are the day before Sunday February 8th, George is up for a couple nominations!!
I sure hope he wins!! Have a great day all!!
-
Hi Sara (Starr). Yes time really moves along. Talking of Feb 9th The Beatles first appearance for me was at The Cassanova Club FEB 9th 1961. Three years later they're on Ed Sullivan. And to think I was a stepping stone in their rapid rise to fame. WOW again !! Love and hugs Sam.
-
Hi Sam that is neat you were there to help them get started!! I can't think of anyone better who could've done that for them!!
Their Ed Sullivan appearance is so Powerful!! i get chills everytime i watch it on my tape!! It was so electric and you could tell how much they were enjoying themselves!! I have the Beatles First USA tour documentry i love that because you get to see them in hotels being themselves and having fun!! It's a great film to watch!!

And then The Count Leachy entered the castle with the four guys. "Do you find those teeth normal, Paul?" "I'm not sure, Johnny" Then the Count Leachy said: "Do you want to live forever?" And those guys called The Beatles said: "Yes!" And Count Leachy said... "Forget Bites, now I do it promoting" "Besame... Besame Leachy" Sung the innocent Paul.

Hello Libra Welcome to the thread. You probably don't know but I was connected with The Beatles and people who like to chat with me or ask questions came to this thread to do that. That's why Paulfan named it `Sam Leach'. And we've now become a close group of friends who discuss topics from The Beatles through The Beach boys...and even The Monkees. My website is www.samleach.com When you get the chance have a look at it. Cheers. Sam.
