Hi Sam I don't take this stuff personally at all. With that in mind, I don't mind if you dislike RAM. My point is that most critics really like it and if you avoid critics who rated it at the time it came out and look at current critical evaluation of that record -- I know that you won't find as you say a critic that bashes it for every critic that praises it. You could try to prove me wrong if you'd like. The reason why I am so convinced is that EVERY music book or magazine I have has it ranked 4 to 5 stars. And, I 've read even better reviews than what I posed here -- one I recall but couldn't find said the record is on par with the best Beatles work. Fab65: Band on the Run, yes was likewise given 4 stars. Sam: Thanks for backing me up. Swaying Daisy: I like Ram, too. But, wasn't really trying to convince Sam C to like the record if he doesn't like it that's his privilege. Just wanted to make the case that critics once did but now don't generally share his opinion on that record. Paulfan: Would love to see Macca do songs he's never done before on tour, so my picks would be: Juniors Farm No More Lonley Nights Take It Away Obla Di I'll Follow the Sun Lovely Rita Back Seat of My Car and do songs he hasn't done recently: Got to Get You Into My Life Get Back Paperback Writer Golden Slumbers
Hi Mike, Those songs sound like a good idea. Junior's Farm would be good for him to do as well as Take IT Away and No More Lonely Nights. On Jorie Gracen's site she has a link where you can sign a petition if you want Macca to change his set list. you might want to chekc it out. Sam, At least you wrote something even if you forgot,I'll vote for you for president too. I guess you also won in South Carolina.

Hi Sam Hope everyone is having a nice evening! I haven't been on the board in a while. I missed everyone. I've been trying to keep up with kids and all of the lovely schoolwork. I feel like I'm back in school
-
Sam, I'll vote for ya!! I got plenty of others who would love for you to run the country too, so you've got Indiana!!
-
Swaying Daisy:
Well, If my vote counted it would go to George over any of the others nominated. I think its rather sad when people like Justin and Christina Aguelira are nominated, but maybe I am just getting old!
I'm SO old.

Sam, or whoever... I dont think i have ever really looked at this thread, so can someone explain to me what its about? thanks for cooperating with my lack of intellegence!
It's nice to see you here. Hi! *Huggles* Sams a cool guy, you know...cool. He's done a lot more stuff than I have. Maybe it's becuase I'm younger than he is. *And what about the "new" jokes, eh?* Lack of intellegence is what I specialize in. lol...
Hi Kat! This is a really cool thread and i love how civilized it is here. *The Sam Leach thread: A place where everyone gets along* Bonjour to everyone on this wonderful frozen day! Kat, what's the temperature in Alberta? Its -43 here, with the the windchill its supposed to get to -60!!! Thats right, we do live in igloo's!
Yes we do! I'm glad for you to join us in our "discussions...*coughJustinTimberlakeSUCKScough*" Every little bit helps. In Alberta yesterday it was at least -40 C something...it was still bad, never mind the windchill. It's slowly getting better here, but, I'm sitting in the cold for that one. Wow, I'm turning into to Sam here...heh,heh.

Hi Libra. I've just realised from your profile that you're from Canada. Well it might please you to know that I'm half Canadian as my Mother came from St John's Newfoundland. I've never been to Canada but it's high on my list of priorities. Jimmy Clench, lead guitar with April Wine and BTO, is my first cousin. Cheers Sam.
Sam, That would make you half American, so this continent does have a claim on you. I have heard of April Wine as well....but I am just as impressed with your demeanor if not more so... Cheers, Sam C.
There goes the Sam's again.... Well, Sam just love us Canadians...;)

Hi Sam C. I'm honoured to be part American then. Ans doesn't that mean I could run for President ?? Cheers Sam.
Sam, Ah, but that is Canada. Unfortunately, not even the current Governor could run for President. You have to be 35 years of age and be born in the United States of America. I am sorry mate. You would have made a fine President. I would have no trouble to vote for you. Cheers, Sam C.
-
Sam Leach:
Hi again Starr. But will the CIA allow that, heh, heh. Love and hugs. Sam.
Sam, I doubt were there a special provision made for you that you could run and you were an U.S. citizen, the CIA would not have anything to say about it. Unfortunately, as I pointed out earlier, under the Constitution, you would be ineligible to run. I don't recall the CIA being able to stop someone from running for President. Cheers, Sam C.
