Hey Sam had to bump this up for ya i kinda went post crazy again lol.. have a good weekend.
-
Hello Gang. I've been very tied up writing stuff which is why I haven't said much today. But....I've been popping in and reading your posts which are excellent and thought provoking. One point about cartoons being violent...they always were. What was worse than Tom & Jerry ?? And Mr Magoo with his `lickle gun' ? People will sort out the problems we have...never fear. I'm very sleepy so I'll say goodnight and thanks for all your votes. We're 72 ahead but must keep pushing to make sure we stay there. Love, Cheers and hugs. Sam.

Hello Sam see you tomorrow!!

February 4, 2004 The word out of Germany is there will be an announcement about Paul's upcoming summer tour there on February 21st. Rumors are dates have been confirmed by the promoter. Rumored reports from last month had revealed inquiries by Paul's promoters for Portugal, Brazil, Italy, Croatia, England and Spain this summer. Rumors are also flying that Paul will tour the US later this year with 21 plus cities on the tour roster.

Starr:
Hi Kathy you have good taste in music for someone your age!! Beatles all the way!! hehe seems everyone forgets Ringo!! ops:
Hi Sara! *Huggles* Yea, thanks, it's all about Beatles for me. Everyone always seems to forget Ringo and yet he got the most fan mail, didn't he?
Paulfan:
No Kathy you aren't. You are very mature for your age and have good taste in music as Sara says for a young person. Maybe you can influence your peers to like the Beatles. I myself liekd t hem at your age and it wasn't cool to like them and heavy emtal was popular and rap was becoming popular wtih bands such as Run DMC and the Fat Boys. KEep up the good taste my freind!
Thank you again, Paulfan. *I just seem mature for my age, believe me. * I have tried to influence my friends, and I have succeeded, but they are a bit "closet" fans. We watched Yellow Submarine together and the movies and such. Although, during the anniversarys of John and Georges death, I have arranged at my high school to play George, John and Beatle songs before and after classes. It's my way to keep the crap music out of school. Other than that, this time around it's Rap turning into Pop...I don't know how that works...but okay.... I'll keep trying.
LiBRA:
Kat, I think i am like you too. I am not in my age group for interests. But that just makes me that much more interesting i suppose. Much More Music is way better. When was Beatles week?
LiBRA, thanks, that can be that way with the age groups. It's kind of funny when you go to a tribute band and the average age seemed to be 65. But, hey, I gave those guys crazy dances they'll never forget. ops: Beatles week was like when 1 came out. It was like 2000 or something. I just remember it was awhile back. *I taped some stuff from it. * Not to seem greedy but....*WHERE'S THE PAUL CANADA DATES....*cries** I hate feeling forgotten. Other than that, I do hope people have an excellent weekend and Friday and such.

Hi Kathy, You're welcome. At least you ried to convert your friends into Beatle fans. That is neat that you will be playing John songs and George songs for your school. Smeday your friends may come out of the closet. My best friend used to think Paul's msuic was too soft back when Iw as your age and even younger and now he realizes how talented he is. Who knows maybe your friends will come out of the closet as your grow older.

Hey all, Hopefully within 10 years all this stuff will die down, at least a little. But with the way it's going strong now, I'm not holding my breath. I mean tell me if this isn't horrible--- just recently my cousin (she is 6) and a boy that I babysit for (he is 5) got caught PRETENDING to have sex!! And both of these kids are exposed to about everything you can be. Their parents allow them to watch any movie they want, anything on TV, and they listen to this rap crap all the time. I mean the little boy goes around trying to rap like Eminem... Had it not been for all the exposure to all the sex on movies and TV, do you think this whole incident would've happened? I don't!! And their parents don't seem to take the hint that they get these ideas from the movies and TV and music. Why does anyone stand for this?? I mean how sickening is it when you see 9 and 10 year old girls that dress skimpier than most teenagers? And little boys with the baggy pants and chains walking around thinking they are pimps? Disgusting! I mean I hate to think about what kinda adults these kids are gonna turn out to be, I didn't grow up with nearly as much crap as kids today, and I still turned out pretty bad, so it scares the hell out of me to think what these kids are going to be like!!
Hi In 1964JohnLennonwashot, It is pretty sickening to see little kids pretend to have sex. I see little girls wearing bikinis alot and see them wearing shirts that show their body abd little boys lusting after women and dressing like gang members. I think parents are too liberal these days and let kids get away with too much. That is why as my best friend said it is better to read than to watch television. I was also told that kids roam around at night without parental supervision. Scoeity is going crazy. Magazines, commercials, movies, music,tv and the fashion industry are teaching childrent he wrong things and parents dont care. Our supreme court aloows this short of things as do lawyers. They twist freedom of speech to allow this short of stuff. When Iw as a kid in the 70s and early 80s we didn't ahve all this garbage on television and music and we weren't allowed to see rated r movies. I didn't even know what sex was when I was a in my early teens until a few years later and didn't know what gay meant four letter words meant when I heard them at 10 or 11 or what gay meant or anything like that. I wasn't even allowed to watch Risky Business when IW as 13 or Rambo because of the violence. As for rap and Eminem they are alos sick individuals and I can't believe people praise that kind of so called music. What decade did you grow up in?
Hey Paulfan, Sometimes I just wish I could make all of this crap stop. I mean for a long time I didn't have a problem with any of it until one day I was watching a cartoon (even THOSE are getting bad!!) with my brother and it was REALLY violent, and my brother was just laughing so hard. With all these influences I don't want to see what is going to come out of it. Parents cut kids way too much slack these days. I grew up in the 90's and even then I was exposed to a lot, but not nearly what goes on today. My parents have always been strict (or just stubborn, maybe ) but when it comes to things like this sometimes they cut me a lot of slack. But then they have the nerve to complain about other parents who let their kids watch anything. And as I tell my mom over and over-- Don't complain unless you intend to do anything about it! grrr jen
Hi Jenn, I also wish I could make all this stuff go away but unfortunately i can't. I agree with you that parents cut kids too much slack these days. they don't care what the kids watch on tv or see in films or hear in music. I msyelf used to watch violent stuff such as Tom and Ejrry as Sam said and wrestling when my aprents didn't like it and I liked Eddie Murphy who used to swear alot. I wish I ahdn't have wwatched those things growing up and listened to my parents more. There has always been violence in cartoons and movies but not to the degree it is today. Just because we amde mistakes back then doesn't mean kids today should repeat them. They think we are uptight if we don't like sex and violence in entertainment but the truth is they don't have any moral values. I see how morality has gone down the drain over the years. IF you say Maam to a lady these days it is offensive because it makes ehr feel old. I think people aren't right in the head these days.

Sara, I think the reason wy people forget Ringo si because he was the drummer and didn't write any of the songs.
I know that he wrote a few, but the only one mentioned while he was in the Beatles was Octopus's Garden. And he and George wrote what I consider the most Beatlish tune after the break up: Photograph. Paul and Ringo did collaborate on a tune or two for Flaming Pie as well... Best, Sam C.
Oh Okay Samuel I didn't know he wrote OCtopus's Garden. Photograph is his song and I think never Without You was a good one he wrote. I din't know he wrote any songs on Flaming Pie. Which songs did he write on that album? What I meant was the wasn't the prime writer for the Beatles like John,Paul, and George were which is why people forget him because he was the drummer and not in teh front as much.
Sorry I did not respond sooner. The tune on the CD FLAMING PIE was "REALLY LOVE YOU", and it is first time (as far as I know) that there was a tune that has been credited to both McCartney/Starkey. The album came after Anthology, and Paul explains that after that project, he was inspired to write some music, there are some nice tunes in it, and I believe Steve Miller helps out as well as Jeff Lynne. George Martin has his input in with Beautiful Night, a very lovely ballad. I did like this album! Give this a listen, you will be glad you did... Best, Sam
-
Hi Samuel, That is alirght. I haven't heard Really Love you but love Beautiful Night. I have the Flaming Pie album and I like Young Boy,the title track,Little Willow which is very touching and the one I just mentioned. I think even Paul's son James played guitar on it. I'll listen to Really Love You and see if I like the song.
-
Hi Paulfan If I recall Paul's son played on Heaven on a Sunday. Looks like we might get a Macca tour soon this year -- that would be fun -- I assume he's finishing his new album, then. Sam C Didn't have a chance to get your cd out yet but shouldn't be a problem next week -- sorry for the delay -- the last couple of weeks have been nuts! Cheers! Mike

Hello Paulfan, I believe that James also played on Driving Rain as well. Let me know what you think of it. Best, Sam C.

Sam has a huge lead when I voted this morning. James did play on Heaven on Sunday. I don't know about him playing on Driving Rain.
-
Alirght Samuel I'll let you knwo what I think of the song. As for Driving Rain there are some songs I like and don't like. Tiny Bubble is one of my afovrites as is Your Loving Flame and From A Lover To A Friend isn't one of my faovrites because I feel it drags and Back In The Sunshien Again gets on my nerves for some reason. I'll have to listen to the other songs like Heaven On A Sunday and the other one to see if I like them. Mike thanks for mentioning that. I look forward to a MAcca tour and I hope he coems to Charleston this time so I don't have to drive to Atlanta to see him. I don't want to get too excited but if he comes to my town one guy told me he'd get me backstage passes because he knows the guy who runs the North Charleston Coliseum.

Hey Paulfan (I do not really know your name, I'm sorry. ), I try my best when it comes to that. I do not really change my mind because somebody else does. I'm supposing that's either my mother's genes in there or my Aries personality. Yea, perhaps one day my friends will come out of the closet, but I'm supposing that's what I represent for them. Paul's music is a bit soft, but that's what I like about it, and I do realize how talented he is. Perhaps they will Paulfan, that my friends will come out of the closet about that. I hope all of you have a good Friday! And soon weekend! Yay! Oh, forgotten about Driving Rain, but I really love Little Willow on it. It's just....*sigh*....
