Well hello everyone! Today is great day... the Beatles touched down in New York this fine afternoon, 40 years ago. I am definetly celebrating. I bought a new DVD about them in the USA. It came out 2 days ago, and they resereved it for me before i even knew it existed! Arent they nice!?!? The craziest thing about this whole 40th ann. thing is that amazingly i have each of the significant days off from work. Like today. I also have all of the Ed Sullivan dates off, and so on. How is everyone? Anyone catching the Grammy's tmorrow? I know i am going to try and tape it. Its all i can do. TTYL gang.

Samuel, I'm glad youa nd your sister got along very well. That si what I need to do with my brother. Sam,Interesting article and I thought the part where you said Bloody clown was funny. Forty eyars cine the Beatles came to America! It is hard to believe that and I'm glad you promtoed them. Thanks for giving us the Beatles and it is good to see Paul and Ringo still going strong. Even though John and George are gone they will not be forgotten. If you ahd been with the fabs when they were famous you may not have been here talking to us now. IT is too bad that you weren't there duringthe fame part but as least you have children and great children. May I take your daughter out, lol!

Hi Bev (Scouser USA). Sounds like you're having fun though. I put a longish post on page 274 that you might find interesting. It's about the 40th anniversary. Love and hugs Sam xx
-
Hi Paulfan. As far as I'm concerned they were famous when I was promoting them in Liverpool. Otherwise how could I get almost 5,000 people to Operation Big Beat ?? I was a stepping stone to World fame which was fine with me. I helped create them...and then the World took them away. That's okay. Cheers Sam.

Sam, IT is great that you were a stepping stone to their fame. I wish I could have seen them at the cavern club except I wasn't born then. I think they all looked real cool in black leather jackets. I wish I could see a videotape of them at the cavern or hear a tape of how they sounded back then. I hear they did their best work there. Were tehy only famous locally when you knew them? The world took them away and they tookt he world away and are still going storn to this day. Maybe if you talk to Paul again you can ask him if he could play in my town Charleston South Carolina.

Hi Sam I thought the last Samurai was a very good movie am sure you will enjoy -- nice post about the Beatles 40th Anniversary. One of our stations in South Florida, 102.7, is just playing Beatles and solo Beatle songs all weekend long. It's kind of ironic that I am planning possibly another European tour and it may coincide with Macca's tour -- got my fingers crossed on that one. Paulfan I like your song choices. Actually I did submit 5 picks to Jorie mine were Take It Away (the biggest long shot of my choices), Junk, Obla Di Obla Da, I'll Follow The Sun, and Golden Slumbers. Cheers! Mike
-
Hi Mike I'm glad you liked the article. Re Jorie and her giving Paul a song list I find it hard to believe that Paul would be influenced by her...quite the reverse. Cheers. Sam.

And, of course, she is highly unlikely to be able to get the list to him in the first place!

Hi Kathy, I agree with you completely. Rap is crap music or as I was once told c rap which means crap. People who liked rap made fun of me for liking the Beatles saying they were old and all that stuff. Look at who has lasted longer and who is more popular the Beatles! I'm pretty impulsive myself and it has gotten me in trouble. My mom says that and I need to learn to control it. I'm not sure whether being impulsive is a good idead or not since you wind up paying the consequences for it. I don't know how much time we have here either but enjoy life while you have it.
Hi again, Giri, I'm glad to understand that you also think of the same. Yea, so people make fun about me a bit becuase I like the Beatles, but then again, I turn around and make fun of rap. I think it's a fair trade. You have been impulsive yourself. I like to think myself as "im_Paul_sive" Just think of it that way. I can be impulsive within control...I don't know how that works, but you just a little bit think ahead. Just go, what might happen. But, then again, it's not as fun as being impaulsive. Yup enjoy your life! For sure! Sam, thank you mucho for that link. Really cool.
Thank you Kathy. If people make fun of you for liking the Beatles it is their loss. Rap won't be as popular in years to come as the Beatles will be. If you are impulsive within control that is good. Just don't do things that get you in trouble. Yes you should enjoy your life while you have it. Keep listening to the Beatles!
No problem, Giri! Rap's GONNA die! Yay! Beatles shall live forever. No matter where, and when and whatever. As long as there's us. You keep listening to the Beatles, too. For I'm sure that there are more Beatle fans then rap. Too bad the Grammies tomorrow is going to have rap in it, though. I mean, it's all about Geroge and such and Beatles 40th, and all they have is rap performances. Blah!

Yea! If anything, he would be influenced by me. Actually, what he played for Back In the U.S DVD was the stuff I did love. Like Fool On The Hill, I Saw Her Standing There, and Band on the Run. My jump around crazy, fun ones.... Sam, I can't wait for you to re-release "Beatles on Broadway". You know you can count on me to buy a copy for sure! I also loved reading your "new website" addition. Very interesting. What I did for Beatles 40th...(more like Paul. ) is this wallpaper I have made on the computer using Adobe Photoshop...http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v31/GuitarKat5612/Paul%20Wallpapers/Paul_Movie_640x480.jpg I don't know how that ties in with it, but I just finished it yesterday. Have a good weekend Sam, wish I could phone you, but that would be a little odd. Tata everyone!
