Okay MIke. I'm with you. If I hear anything I'll let you know...unless I'm asked not to Cheers Sam.

DannyC I am familar with that site for all that want it its http//www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Towers/1019/latest.html It's a great site but it rarely has gossip on tour dates. It did have the Russain date but not the other stuff on Jorie's site. Gossip sites and Sam for that matter are much better sources in my view for the tour. The papers are generally on it after or right before they are announced. Cheers! Mike

Hey Sam, I was cleaning out a cabinet, I keep a lot of beatle treasures there. I found my copy of your Beatles on Broadway. Nice book, one of my treasured pieces of memorabilia.

Hi Sam Prewtty ironic but in a good way-- made a pact with my wife because of all my extra side work (haven't really been spending enough time with her) -- I currently have 2 jobs -- that we'd use some of the extra cash to go to Europe again. It's sorts of nuts in a sense for me becuase I was just there a year ago as you know -- but what the heck. She was talking about going in May. Just by coincidence that's when I am hearing he might start his tour. He's talking about doing Germany and England -- by coincidence that's where we thought of going. And just like last year, she antsy to book. And, I am antsy to see when he's touring first -- although I haven't told her that yet. Cheers! Mike
-
Hi Denny C. That's great. I'm glad you liked it. No great literary work but plenty of nice photos most of which I had pretty well exclusively at that time. If we ever meet at a Convention or Liverpool, or an American English show in Chicago, I'll sign it for you. Cheers. Sam.
-
That would be great Sam.
-
Denny C My previous posts by the way aren't about challanging your sources -- as I just told Sam I am toying with going to Germany if Macca is headed there and you know any dates I'd be grateful to know what they are. Thanks! Cheers! Mike

Sam If you speak to Baker if you agree with me -- my only thought really about his new tour that I've noticed most Macca fans on this board echoing is that we'd love for him to do a lot (as opposed to a few) songs that he's never done before live at least on a world tour. And, it's great to do mostly Beatle songs but many fans love his solo stuff, too. Off the top of my head here are some he's never done live (which were either hits or well known songs) ever Obla Di Obla da I'll Follow The Sun For No One Lovely Rita Helter Skelter Rocky Raccon You Never Give Me Your Money (the real version) With a Little Luck No More Lonely Nights Take It Away Waterfalls Junior Farm Mull of Kyntre (in the US) Helen Wheels Admiral Halsey/Uncle Albert Any song off of Ram (sorry, Sam C) Wings fans would love I am sure Beware My Love Venus & Mars 1985 Getting Closer or similar stuff Of the songs he's only done once it would be great to see live again Get Back Got to Get You Into My Life Golden Slumbers Paperback writer Penny Lane Am sure, Macca has his own plans but it's fun to come up with this stuff anyway. If he doesn't do the circus show like opening -- I think the movie intro alas what he's done in the previous tours works great.

It'd be great if Paul and or Ringo or both would tour this year!! It's still early so maybe this summer or later in the year we'll see them on the road, and if not there's always next year.
-
Starr I agree. For me personally, there is no bigger event than a Macca tour, it's hard not to get hopped even just on the possibility. I like Ringo, too although I don't get nearly as hyped up about it -- not just becuase I think Macca tours are more electric but more becuase Ringo's been touring about every other year -- Macca rarely does that so it would be quite extraordinary if he came back on tour so soon after his last one. I hope Ringo comes back but to me Macca coming back so soon would be quite exciting. Cheers! Mike

RE/All: Very exciting things happening including the Grammys! Would be great for George to win a lot of awards! I would love to see Macca and Ringo tour in Australia the would be cool! Sam: I got your 2 messages fully understood! Wow it's 4am here in Australia ~ I better go and have breakfast! dB

Okay Samuel it is my pleasure too. Sara,It is sad to see people got honored only after they die and if George doesn't win it will be great to see him in the hall of fame. when does the hall of fame tleecast come on? I saw on CNn Saturday Night yesterday where they talked about the Beatles 40th anniversary and the girls who helped I Want TO Hold Your Hand become popular down here. There were two female fans singing YEsterday and people called in to say if the Beatles were still relevant today or not. I tiied calling excpet the inbox was full. I hope tonight's tribute will be good.

Sam, Okay i'll be careful with Smantha he he! I know you were just joking and so was I! When Stella was singel I joked about asking her otu and saying Paul would have to run me off. I got thsi idea from the Robert Deniro film Meet The Parents in which he is an overprotective father. Dmmedic which guy were you telling me to mention the Beatles speaking up against segragation?
-
Hi Paulfan. I knew you were joking too. A Father can't be too over-protective. Cheers. Sam.
-
I know Sam it was all ing ood fun. You are right a father can't be too overprotective or the daughter will rebel. Have you seen MEet The Parents? It was a funny movie where RObert Deniro doesn't like his adughter to amrry Ben Stiller because he thinks he isn't good enough and too accident prone and makes him take lie detector tests and wants to keep him away from hsi daughter. It gave me the idea to make the joke. Now about Jorie form what you say she sounds kind of fishy. What do you mean by she is an okay person? IT sounds like you don't think too highly of her. If you don't want to mention it on this thread pm me and tell me what you mean by it.
-
Mike I know you weren't. It's just if you look hard enough all these articles can be found. I generally come here and let others do the work for me. But I have found things on my own.
-
Denny C Well enough! No question lots of info on the web about the Beatles -- at this moment I am especially interested in anything relating to Macca going to the UK and Germany. I go on that Beatles news web site every day -- it's a great site! Cheers! Mike
-
No Paulfan I didn't mean anything by that remark. Everything is cool !! I'm taking Samantha to the movies now so I'll be back maybe around midnight UK time. Chhers everyone. Sam.

here is a german article... basically it says that they wanted paul to perform but he was too expensive... they said they would have had to demand 75euro - but hey, i paid 100euro to see him : http://www.waz-online.de/waz-lokal/222369.html anyway, my theory is that the rumours about the german tour are actually coming from a german message board where a member said he had inside informations...

mikeskapla:
Hi Sam: Jorie is supposedly getting it to Brian Ray the guitarist -- agree Macca may or may not see it or care. Although, it's being presented via a survey done on her site -- I'd be surprised if Macca would look at a list given to him by a Macca fan site and be less inclined to do those songs because it's comes fron a fan site but who knows you know him, I don't. I saw Macca in Indy in 2002 -- coincidently Jorie was sitting a few seats away from me -- it was clear that Macca knew who she was. She published a book about his tours called I Saw Him Standing There -- some of her photos made it to the cd booklet of his Tripping the Live Fantastic album. She actually was the first person who clued me into the European dates including Liverpool last year so her sources can be pretty decent. Cheers! Mike
Macca was in INDY?!?!?! As in INDIANAPOLIS?!?!? Argh!! How did I miss that one?!
