Hello Sara how are you tonight? Kathy, I agree with you that the Beatles will love on forever with people like you and me. On the news this evening they had a story about the woman who helped get them popular and showed clips from the Ed Sullivan show. I will try to watch the grammies tomorrow. Rap is not even music because they don't sing or play any instruments. They talk to a beat. I can't believe people like it but I guess everyone is different. One rap music fan in high school made fun of me and said that nigger's favorite group is the Beatles. He is black and he called me that? That is pretty funny! This is the same guy who used to swear in class and say he did it because Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor make money that way. He wound up quitting school and working in a car wash. IT is funny that rap fans make fun of Beatle fans and think theyir sutff is the cool stuff. There are more Beatle fans than rap fans as you say and rap wouldn't even be around had the Bealtes not been an influence.
-
Hello Paulfan i am good how are you? I dont have much to say lol. ops:
-
I'm fien Sara. I'm surprised on television they aren't showing much about the Beatles today except on the news. I'll try to watch the grammies tomorrow and hope George wins. IT is kind of funny that he gets nominated after he dies rather than when he was alive. I hope the tribute to them will be good.
-
Hi Paulfan yes the Grammys should be good!! Well even if George doesn't win remember he's still being inducted in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame next month, but honestly i think he will win. And the Beatles tribute should be good too. Sadly these kind of things happen when people die they never seem to get honored when they are alive.
-
Paulfan, you might remind that guy that the Beatles would not perform anywhere where the audience was segregated. They had to guts to speak up where alot of the other bands didn't.
-
Paulfan:
Samuel, I'm glad youa nd your sister got along very well. That si what I need to do with my brother. Sam,Interesting article and I thought the part where you said Bloody clown was funny. Forty eyars cine the Beatles came to America! It is hard to believe that and I'm glad you promtoed them. Thanks for giving us the Beatles and it is good to see Paul and Ringo still going strong. Even though John and George are gone they will not be forgotten. If you ahd been with the fabs when they were famous you may not have been here talking to us now. IT is too bad that you weren't there duringthe fame part but as least you have children and great children. May I take your daughter out, lol!
Hey Paulfan... Get in line...I want to ask the lovely Samantha out.... Of course, I am sure she is spoken for and if not...oh well.. Cheers! Sam C

Actually, dmmedic, wasn't it Paul who spoke up about that?
-
Sam, You'll have to tell me how the Last Samauri was because i am really wanting to see it. The best thing about it is that Tom did it for free. What a good guy. Sam C If Justin pulls another Janet Jackson stunt at the Grammy's, i quit watching them. There was a point in history when the Grammy's were actually about the music, and talent. I wonder what happened?
-
Okay Samuel,I will get in line. Then Sam will have to both use a shotgun to keep us away from his daughter lol! I heard Really Love you today and it is a pretty good song. Thanks for the mention.

Hi Sam: Jorie is supposedly getting it to Brian Ray the guitarist -- agree Macca may or may not see it or care. Although, it's being presented via a survey done on her site -- I'd be surprised if Macca would look at a list given to him by a Macca fan site and be less inclined to do those songs because it's comes fron a fan site but who knows you know him, I don't. I saw Macca in Indy in 2002 -- coincidently Jorie was sitting a few seats away from me -- it was clear that Macca knew who she was. She published a book about his tours called I Saw Him Standing There -- some of her photos made it to the cd booklet of his Tripping the Live Fantastic album. She actually was the first person who clued me into the European dates including Liverpool last year so her sources can be pretty decent. Cheers! Mike
Mike, Paul recognises lots of fans, including me. It does not make them celebrities. If Paul gets this list, I doubt it will have any influence at all over what songs he plays.
-
Hi Mike and Female Animal. (I like that name). I know Jorie did `I saw Him Stading There' which is a brilliant book and Jorie is a FAB photographer...and an okay person. But Macca wasn't entirely happy about the book for reasons which are private. That is why I don't believe he'd take any suggestions directly from her. If you e-mail the songs you'd like to hear that he DOESN"T do then at an appropriate moment I'll pass that info on to Geoff Baker. But even then Paul will still make his own mind up. Don't forget he didn't take my advice over `Twist & Shout' and `Wanderlust'. Cheers. Sam.

Mass post coming up `cos I'm off out shortly. Libra I'll let you know about `The Last Samaraui'. Paulfan Re Samantha...watch it mate, heh, heh. Re. Charleston..I'll mention it. Sam C See above warning, heh, heh. I'm glad you liked the article re 40th. Dmmedic Yes all the Beatles were angry about segregation and Paul was the leader Kathy Thanks for liking the article and when `Beatles On Broadway' is ready I'll let you know. And I don't mind an occasional phonecall as long as it's between 4.00-6.00pm UK time. And you let me know the day before. My number is 011 44 151 281 5555 by posting here. Mike I said June 1st months before...remember. And I knew most of the dates but they have to be announced at the right time. Not guessed at. Right now it's only 50/50 that there'll be a US tour this year but Paul himself loves touring. Okay....I know that's pretty obvious. Starr Hello....and you've gone. Tell us something. Back later. Cheers. Sam.

and as someone said, when he sees her in the audience, he might know who she is but it doesn't mean he's too happy about her...

I am very glad you said this, Sam. I have made comments to this effect on this board and been accused of being jealous!

Hello Sam Leach, I read your excellent article! Very good reading I enjoyed it very much! I remember seeing on TV about the Beatles recording "Keeping it Simple" and I guess that's why their songs a very memorable, bands these days sound too busy and complicated very unforgettable I always write from the heart and keep it flowing like a story unfolding with words that are memorable. I will be busy recording my new CD over three months starting in May I will be here to post in this thread but I won't be here during those three months!! I will miss a lot of beautiful people on this forum! But when I come back I will give you my self-titled-CD. Have a great year Sam Leach and everyone! Love the Beatles forever!! Happy 40th Beatles ~ Yeah Yeah dB

Hello Sam!!! unfortunately there are certain people who indeed think we spread lies about jorie gracen and say we are just being jealous cause jorie has met paul and for example i didn't... but i comment on what i see and i don't have to like what she's doing and i guess people are allowed to have their opinions just like i am allowed to have my opinion about jorie gracen... and she's even member of this board and i don't want to lose my head

Hi oneafter909. Welcome to the thread and it's amazing to me that it's 40 years. It seems far less. That;s what it's like when you're having fun..right !! Cheers Sam.
