Sam, so sorry to hear about Alf, you have my condolences. I was lucky enough to met him at a beatlefest. He seemed to be a lovely man. I remember hearing a story about him he hooked up with a bunch of ladies that were big Paul fans, one got sick and he stayed in touch with her and I'm not sure of this but might have even got Paul to send her something. This story was told to me, but it was just about what a kind man Alf was. Again my condolences to you and Alf's family.

Yea, cool!!!! Go LEAFS....*runs away from Edmonton ;)* I'm very stressed this week. Too many things due, so if you don't see much of me, don't worry. Sam, a good day to you. Hey all! Bye all!
Kathy, I know, I can so relate, I have 2 MAJOR projects due on Friday (like half-of-my-grade size things)...and I am freaking out!! ~*~* The board has been moving awfully slow for the last couple of days, I wonder what's up?!
Aw! I'm so sorry I have forgotten you name! I'm not very good with remember names, you know. It's amazing I can actually remember my own! Although, I feel your pain. Even if it's not right now, it's been pretty troublesome for myself. I want to have a good start on the second semester. I hate those half-grade things. I think they should seriously ban those! I think the board is up and running again, my friend. I think it's all smoothed out!

Hi Denny C, Jen, Mike and Christina Thanks for your expressions of sympathy. Alf would be happy to know how loved he was. There are many Obits going in National papers and a special feature on Alf in the Liverpool Echo tomorrow afternoon. I've been busy all day talking to Radio Stations and Newspapers about Alf and what a gem we've lost. Jen The Beatles also played at the Keiserkella and the Indra. Goodnight all and thanks again for your kind words. Sam xx

I'm so sorry to read that news, Sam. *sigh* From what you have said, I can tell he was a very kind man. Perhaps you can tell us something more about him, if you would like to. Sam, although I do not get the Liverpool Echo out here (for obvious reasons) I'll be sure to check around for something. Thank you. Kim, I'm doing fine. Thank you for asking all of us. But wow, busy, busy, busy, busy! By the way, Vinny, I'm not going to be a star. It's just a studio. And I'm bored. So, therefore, it fits. Wow, my moods are in limbo today!

Hi Kathy. I've been talking about Alf all day to radio stations and newspapers so I'll just post my tribute to him again for those who may have missed it. Goodnight everyone. Sam (see below). ************************************************************* A friend of mine, Alf Bicknell the Beatles former chauffeur, died yesterday at his home in Oxford, England. His Wife had been to Manchester to visit his Son and Alf had stayed behind as he didn't feel too well. When she arrived home yesterday she found him in the kitchen. Alf was a big `Teddy Bear' of a man who will be much missed. He was 75, something else I find hard to believe. Honestly, Alf didn't look a day older than 50. He joined the Beatles in 1964 during the filming of Help. He was with them for four years and when they met Elvis in 1965. Alf often recounts with pride that Elvis called him `Sir'. Forever smiling, he epitomised the original `Hail Fellow, well met' bloke. I'll always remember his sincere pleasure when talking about The Beatles. He was in fact one of the most genuine and likeable `Beatle persons' that I have met. Alf will be a much missed Man. Regretfully. Sam Leach. Liverpool March 10th 2004.
