oh so now i cant have the same friends as you? whatever.
-
Mike, I remember Paul saying he didn't want to be the one who did political songs because they would be boring and he would leave that up ot the politicians. Paul is an entertainer not a politician. Even if he is political people say he is self serving. Oh well Paul can't please everyone. I say Paul has lived out the peace and love life that was the ideal in the 60s by his actions not his words. He doesn't need to speak about it to me for he has demonstrated it by his lifestyle.
-
i guess not everyone is going to agree on what paul has done musically, but that is their opinion. No use arguing about who's right and who's wrong!
-
None of us is right but Paul is. HE still looks great for hsi age, continues to go strong, and had the top concert tour last year. Whoever doesn't like Paul can stuff it. HE still rules!
-
Sara if you were talking to me there is no arrguiin just stating opinions and having a discussion with Mike.

That is one member who gets mad at the drop of a pin.But you are right no point arguiing with people on the computer who I've never met before. After all anybody can typoe anything.

Hi Sara (Starr), Giri (Paulfan) Cesar (Cbimbi) & Mike. Sorry I've been AWOL but I'm all over Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio lately so have been playing catch-up. Keep enjoying the thread and the `debates' and I'll get back Monday. That's what makes the World - and Maccca's website - tick. But not like a bomb as we're all friends here. Love, Cheers & Hugs. Sam.
-
Hi Christina (Harleyblues). As you know I've been chasing my tail all over Wisconsin and Illinois. And tomorrow I'll be out all day again. So I'll get back to you on Monday. Sorry you can't come to Abbey Road. I'm going to be at the Raddison and will have a table in the Author's tent Saturday & Sunday. Love and hugs. Sam.

Hi Sam, YEs you are right different opinions and debates keep the world going around. I saw a post here bvy an old friend who used to come to this board regularly an year ago and on wingspan and he was saying how boring it is and the debates keep the board interesting. i don't like to debate but sometimes I feel I have to so I don't get pushed around. We'll keep having fun on this thread. Anyway do yoou know where I can hear the early recordings of the bealtes? The ones where they played the Cavern and HAmburg? I'd like to see how they sounded.

Paulfan: You should listen to Harrison's solo it's really good -- I actually prefer it to Lennon's: All Things Must Pass, 33 1/3, Somewhere in England, and cloud Line especially. Ringo's album which I belived is called Ringo -- that's the one with You're 16, Photography and It Don't Come Easy is quite good.
Mike, I share your opinion on this. Even though John is my second favorite Beatle, I find myself listening to George's albums more. I just find some of John's stuff like Plastic Ono Band too depressing I guess. I also like the album called "George Harrison". I'll also agree that "Ringo" is probably the best of Ringo's solo work.

Hi Swaying Daisy it is good to see you back.
Welcome back, swaying daisy quote] Thank you
-
Hey Sam hope you had a nice weekend! Sara
-
Swaying Daisy I like Lennon's Beatle work better than Harrison's -- so I guess he's my 2nd favorite Beatle, too. I own all of Harrison's stuff -- his music has a nice feel to it -- Lennon's solo to me can be boring at times and repetitive although I think Imagine is a great album. Mike

Mike - I also prefer John's Beatle work to George's. I really like most of the songs John did on Double Fantasy. I can't say its an album I play a lot though because of the Yoko tracks. I was going to make a compilation cd this summer of solo songs by John that I liked but so far I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Bump for Sam!

Thank you Sara (Starr). Just a flying visit as I'm overloaded again. The next week is hectic as yopu probably will know with Abbey Road on the River coming up in Cleveland. I'm going to be in the Author's tent for the whole three days. It should be a great weekend. Love and hugs. Sam.
