Wow! This thread is educational, as well! I'm happy to know what those mysterious words meant! Hi everyone!! Hey! This is interesting, especially neat since I live near Miami! My fellow Beatlemaniac friend sent this link to me, yesterday. I am interested in doing a Beatle commemorative project in Miami, and it would be soooooo cool if the Cavern opens up there, also. I am an artist and want to do a Beatle mural in the hotel where the Ed Sullivan show was broadcast from. Anyway, here is the Cavern article link... http://www.ananova.com/entertainment/story/sm_812922.html?menu=entertainment.latestheadlines

isnt it? This thread is great!
-
Hi Lacey That Cavern News is intriguing. I should do something like that in Chicago. I'm glad you like the thread... ...and you too Starr. Love and hugs. Sam.
-
Sam i LOVE this thread! I think it's great the way you take the time to answer our posts! Have a great week!
-
Hi, Sam and friends Dont you think it was a Great idea to open Cavern Clubs around the globe ? ... and thanks God there will be 2 of these new clubs in brazilian cities... we had enough of those stupid Hard rock Cafe and how is your fave football club Liverpool doing ? cheers P
-
and I hope the beers will be at the same level as the music played
-
Starr:
Cool thanks Sam! ) You learn something new every day! It does have a french sound to it, great song! ) I had always wondered what he was saying in French, I remember Paul saying that he used to just play it on the acoustic guitar and John thought it was good enough to put more music too for a song for them. I love the song! )
re Michelle the song dedicated to Jane .... well it is really almost the same phrase english- french.... except that ensemble is more like assemble than " go together well " [ my humble contribution for the educational side of the thread ] idea
-
Hi Cesar (Cbimbi). Nice to have you back with us. Cavern Clubs around the World is a GREAT idea. It will probably be done as franchises though. BTW the precise translation is as I've said...and Paul intended. "These are words that go together well." Mabe his accent has confused some people...he certainly never meant assemble. Liverpool are under the control of a man who knows nothing about the tactical side of football...Gerard Houllier. We won't make real progress until he's retired upstairs. I hate the way we're playing just now.We LFC fans are used to a better style of playing. 99% of fans are saying the same as me. We're in deep s**t ....pardon the French, heh, heh. Cheers. Sam.

Hey Sam i just put on a beatles cd the 1964-1970 collection, it's just so amazing all the different kinds of songs they gave us, it's just incredible, they sure great talents!
-
Hi Starr Yes they were multi talented. The first night I saw them I knew they were the best Rock band on the planet...and told them so. Love and hugs. Sam.
-
you knew they were something special and you were right! They just did such a wide varitey of music on their songs each one is unique and special and probably had a little touch of them in it. It's something that will NEVER be topped again!
-
Sam Watching the Roddick/Henman match right now? It's a good one -- they are on tie braker. Don't know if you caught my previous post but do you think if I sent Geof Baker a note to MPL complementing his writing -- it's really good -- it would get to him? Cheers! Mike

Hi Sam and Starr, yes they were amazing, and it's funny how they don't seem to know it. I was listening to Ringo on Howard Stern, and he said after much discussion about the Beatles "isn't there life after the Beatles?" and at this point he wanted to shift conversation, and almost seemed annoyed. I have noticed Paul having the same thought process, and mentioning having come to terms with the whole Beatle thing when Anthology came out. I can't imagine being in their position and being on the level of Mozart or Beethoven, like they are, and not realizing it, but I guess it would be a hard concept to realize self greatness at that level. Sorry to get off on the beaten path so far. That interview was great, look for Ringo on Howard Stern. Sam, I can't even imagine having seen the Beatles perform in person and having the opportunity to know them. Cool
-
Lacey I heard Ringo say recently that he wants to pursue a Beatles solo Anthology -- I think that would be real interesting. Mike
-
Yes Mike. Geoff would get it. Mark it `Private & Confidential'. I agree he writes well. What was it that particularly drew your attention. I must have missed your last post...sorry. Please repeat it for me. Cheers. Sam.

Hi Sam I've started collecting back issues of Club Sandwich -- which was Macca's fan newsletter. Frankly, Baker never really grabbed me much as Macca's publicist -- he always looks kind of on the scruffy side and does always look like he's with it so to speak. But, after reading some of the articles that Baker wrote in Club Sandwich -- I realized I had him pegged wrong. He sells Macca brilliantly -- article after article he paints Macca as a genius but in a very persuasive and entertaining fashion. I just want to write and tell him that his pro-Macca stuff is dead on great. I am sure he doesn't care what I think but it would be fun writing the letter anyway. Cheers! Mike
-
Hi Sam, Mike was reffering to me mentioning the Beatles Anthology in my above post. Mike, I'm all for recording for history everything that the Beatles did post Beatles included.
-
sorry for the typo meant to say doesn't as opposed to does
-
Hi Lacey. The Beatles had remarkable talent both as a band and individually which has been proved by their solo careers. I can understand them all wanting to show their worth as solo artistes. BUT THE BEATLES WILL ALWAYS BE THE FOREMOST MUSICAL ACT OF ALL TIME. End of story...right !! Back tomorrow. Love and hugs. Sam.

Lacey Actually my post to Sam doesn't have anything to do with the Anthology post -- it was a post that I did if I recall which is now at the top of page 46 -- but it doesn't matter I basically repeated what I said in the last post to Sam...but thanks for helping anyway. Cheers! Mike
