Hello everyone. WOW !!!! I'm at least 6 pages behind and have been reading all these interesting posts for the past hour. I've been away for two days as I was quite ill with a nasty chest infection which I caught after Liverpool's great win last Saturday. There's been more debate about the Maccca/Geoff issue than in the media. Most of the posts had some merit but as requested lets put a stop to a topic that few know much about...only what they read. Mike hit the nail on the head when he mentioned the `red flag to a bull' when Dom mentioned the Sun rag. Geoff did a mostly great job for Paul for over 15 years and shouldn't be slagged by anyone. I'm still a little iffy but I'll make sure I keep up with you all. BTW I do read EVERY single post even the two slagging me. I didn't respond to those two as I want to draw a line under it all. My main interest now is to see Europe kick USA's butts in the Ryder Cup. But in the friendliest way possible, heh, heh. Cheers all. Sam xxxx

Hi Mike. Thanks for you kind defence and explanation of my position re the slagging of Geoff. It's clear that you have vast experience in this field and your comments were very much appreciated....and spot on as usual. Have a great weekend. Cheers mate. Sam.

Hi Jeff_Lynnes_Beard. Sorry this reply is belated but I've been quite ill with a nasty chest infection caught after Liverpool's great win last Saturday. We're looking good again...right !! I enjoyed reading your post which also put the situation most aptly. And the kind things you said made me even more big-headed, heh, heh. Do you know any good carpenters as I can't get out the door. Have a great weekend.....and lets take the Ryder Cup back on Sunday. The way we're playing it might even be Saturday. (Sorry Mike). Cheers. Sam.

A mass thank you for your posts of support to AnnaMedlicki, Maccascruff, Christina (Harleyblues), Sara (Starr), Nick and any I may have missed. Enjoy your weekend. Love and hugs. Sam xx

Hi Sam, Glad to have you back with us and also glad you are recovering from your chest infection. You're right, Liverpool do look like a good team again and are certainly on form but the match against Bolton the other week wasn't the best performance I have ever seen to say the least Still, every new manager needs time and he's aquitting himself admirably at the moment. Enjoy the Ryder Cup - we're doing well, hope it stays that way! All the best, have a good weekend! JLB.

Hi JLB. Yes Bolton was poor but we were robbed of an equaliser...right ?? I'm guessing you support Arsenal. (?). We'll get to you next year. BTW out of curiosity which band are you in ?? If you don't want it public e-mail me at sam@samleach.com Cheers Sam.

Hello Cesar (Cbimbi). You'll probably remember Patagonia is where my Dad was shipwrecked in 1921. I'm not inferring that you were there, heh, heh. Our Spanish players are the goods. Have a great holiday. Cheers mate. Sam.

Hi Kathy I saw you sneak in back there. Don't get involved in the mega debate that's been raging on here. We're trying to draw a line under it !! Hve a great weekend !! Love and hugs Sam xx

No, I support the mighty Coventry City! You'll proably play us... erm, when we draw you in the FA Cup or League Cup in a few years time because I can't see us returning to the Premiership for a long while, despite the appointment of Peter Reid. I'm off to Highfield Road tomorrow to watch us against Rotherham - a glamour tie! I don't get to that many matches as I live in London, but I try to make it to at least a dozen a season which isn't bad going. I'm not in a band at the moment, Sam. I used to be a session musician when I was in my early 20s, but never made any commitment to a band and now my full-time job gets in the way of playing music. I drive trains for a living & the varied shift work makes it impossible to tie myself to anything! It's something I would love to get back into though. I still play a lot of guitar & keyboards at home though - not as much as I would like to, obviously. And yes, you were robbed of an equaliser against Bolton - not as blatant as that dreadful decision that went Man Utds way against Blackburn the other week though!

Sam Of course I remember the influence Patagonia have had on the Rock history. The only thing I can´t remember is the exact place or city of the incident, isn´t it Commodoro Rivadavia or maybe Rio Gallegos ? Patagonia is an incredible place. As Sir Conan Doyle once wrote [ The Lost World ] " South America is a place I love, and I think, if you take it right through from Dárien to Fuego it´s the grandest most wonderful bit of earth upon this planet " There are many Welsh communities in small cities like Trelew, Dolavon, Gaiman, Rawson... One can visit penguin colonies and be side by side with these animals, the only thing not allowed there is to play or listen Michael Jackson CDs, heh heh the penguins would never come back heh heh Welcome back the football discussions on this thread cheers,
-
Hi again JLB; You SHOULD try to get back in. I'm sure music making is still in your blood. And Coventry play nice football...that's the important thing. Hi Cesar It was Rio Gallegos that my Dad's ship The Beacon Grange' went down at. I joined these posts together because we're all football and music men. Cheers Sam.

Hi Nick I'm replying here rather than on that other thread. Thanks for your comments. Goodnight all. Sam.

I always sneak a bit around here, Sam. I'm not really doing the major debate. I'm just letting others post how they feel also...I haven't really quoted a bit of anything at all. I'm just posting how I felt. That's the way to do it. Have tolarance for others, and they would have tolarance for you. What line? I usually try to cross the line, ya know? Hope you're feeling much better!

You're welcome. LFC rock by the way! I spent a lot of my childhood in North Wales with my grandparents and they were the nearest team to what I felt was my home and so I supported them and when I got older I knew they just rocked!!
