Paulfan Hi Tahsi, I'm doing fine today. I agree with you that the guy who started the Paul is dead rumour has way too much time on his hands. I do think people lost the plot. SamC should definitely be entitled to his opinion. The person who can't appreciate the Beatles are missing out on something good. Now about today's music I can undersstand time chaning and all that stuff but I don't see how violence being sexy and swearing alot has to do with it. I wonder how it will be ten years from now if people keep continuing to push the envelope. I hope they don't make music that glamorized pedophile bheavior one day.
Hello Giri, I agree. The behavior of some of these so-called artists is ridiculous. There are really going to far. IMO they are already glamourizing pedophillic behavior in a way because they take very young people and make them into sexual objects. The music industry isn't the only one at fault. The fashion industry is a big culprit as well. I don't understand why parents stand for this. They get upset over half a breast on TV but not over ads with teenage girls in skimpy clothes or shows on MTV that could pass for soft-porn-what gives??
-
Tahsi, I agree with you that the fashion industry is to blame. They expect everyone to be galmorous and all that stuff. Yes parents should get upset over the fashion industry making young girls into sex objects. Even the grown wmone who do it don't set good examples for young girls. Little girls wear bikinis as well. I've seen this at the swimming pool at teh gym I go to and even curse in front of children. I don't get why they do this. Even on message board there are some people who defend Janet's behavior and other behavior saying stuff like people are to uptight about sex and all that stuff and I saw a movie called the PEople Vs.Larry Flynt and the judge asked him what about the children who see these magazines and Larry said well when a kids drinks a beer at a bar nobody cares or something like that. I think Hollywood, the music industry, television, and the fashion indsutry are becoming sick. My aprents used to not let me watch stuff like that when I was growing up and told me I was too young to watch Eddie Murphy Dlerious because of the profanity.
-
MtV used to be cool back in the 80s when they showed music videos and now they are sick and show teenage girls in skimpy clothes and and all that stuff. Even Vh1 is becoming bad with all these sexy bad boys and girls shows and think it is cool to be bad. A friend of mine even told me recently that he quit watchign basketball because of players talking about hwo bad they are and how cool they are.
-
Hey all, Hopefully within 10 years all this stuff will die down, at least a little. But with the way it's going strong now, I'm not holding my breath. I mean tell me if this isn't horrible--- just recently my cousin (she is 6) and a boy that I babysit for (he is 5) got caught PRETENDING to have sex!! And both of these kids are exposed to about everything you can be. Their parents allow them to watch any movie they want, anything on TV, and they listen to this rap crap all the time. I mean the little boy goes around trying to rap like Eminem... Had it not been for all the exposure to all the sex on movies and TV, do you think this whole incident would've happened? I don't!! And their parents don't seem to take the hint that they get these ideas from the movies and TV and music. Why does anyone stand for this?? I mean how sickening is it when you see 9 and 10 year old girls that dress skimpier than most teenagers? And little boys with the baggy pants and chains walking around thinking they are pimps? Disgusting! I mean I hate to think about what kinda adults these kids are gonna turn out to be, I didn't grow up with nearly as much crap as kids today, and I still turned out pretty bad, so it scares the hell out of me to think what these kids are going to be like!!

Hi Paulfan I never wnet inmto the website or the whole silly premise so I just don't know about this Campbell bloke....sorry. We're ahead now by 30 votes. Thanks everyone. Back later. Sam.
-
Hello Everyone just checking in i'll have to catch up on the posts later, another reminder Grammys on Sunday February 8th, Beatles tribute and George is up for three!! It's a bit warmer here today finally though we're supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow tomorrow.
-
Hello everyone! I am a little distraught about my absence at the grammy celebration at my home. I have to work, sadly. But, with all luck, they will remember to tape it for me. Sam, i was wondering... to vote on you site, do we just click on the icon where it says "Vote for my site here" and then it automatically votes, or is there some different way? Adeos for now.
-
Not only is are the music videos getting more sickening by the day, but it is also very repeditive and annoying. I never watch Much Music anymore because i already know what i'll be seeing. Skantaly clad females with "men" fondling them. Like, whatever happened to creativeness? Ridiculous :
-
Hi Libra i dont think you can call music today MUSIC, you notice when people's careers are going no where they decide to do something like what happened at the superbowl all for publicity, and that is just sad, these people need to take lessons from the Beatles that is what REAL music is.
-
Hi Libra When you go to my home page and click on the `Vote for my Site' button you should then automatically go into the `Top 100' website which means you'll have voted. You don't have to do amything else the. But you can't vote again within 24 hours so check your timing. Thanks for the support. Cheers. Sam.

Hi everyone! just thought I'd drop in see what's happening! Bands do anything to get their music heard these days! Hey! I long for yesterday! The Beatles music had that charisma - real music - excellent music! Simply brilliant! dB
-
Okay Sam,Thanks anyway. I'm glad PAul is still alive and making music and I hope he will be for years to come.
-
As we say here NOTHING will ever top the Beatles!! They were/are the GREATEST band ever!! Hey Paulfan dont forget RINGO is out there too making music yet!! hehe
-
Hi Sara, You are right about that. I forgot about RIngo the only thing is that he wasn't rumorued to be dead which is why I mentioned Paul. IT is unfortuante that John and George are dead though. IT is too bad we never saw a Beatles reunion.

Wow, yeah, I'm 16, and I don't like a LOT of the music videos these days. I'm "supposted" to listen to this crap and dress like whatever it's showing me. Well, I'm just not doing that. I'm different, and I hate Much Music....Much More Music is okay though. I LOVED their Beatles week. I think I'm a couple decades behind myself, don't you think. Hey Sam, your in the lead! Yay!

Hi In 1964JohnLennonwashot, It is pretty sickening to see little kids pretend to have sex. I see little girls wearing bikinis alot and see them wearing shirts that show their body abd little boys lusting after women and dressing like gang members. I think parents are too liberal these days and let kids get away with too much. That is why as my best friend said it is better to read than to watch television. I was also told that kids roam around at night without parental supervision. Scoeity is going crazy. Magazines, commercials, movies, music,tv and the fashion industry are teaching childrent he wrong things and parents dont care. Our supreme court aloows this short of things as do lawyers. They twist freedom of speech to allow this short of stuff. When Iw as a kid in the 70s and early 80s we didn't ahve all this garbage on television and music and we weren't allowed to see rated r movies. I didn't even know what sex was when I was a in my early teens until a few years later and didn't know what gay meant four letter words meant when I heard them at 10 or 11 or what gay meant or anything like that. I wasn't even allowed to watch Risky Business when IW as 13 or Rambo because of the violence. As for rap and Eminem they are alos sick individuals and I can't believe people praise that kind of so called music. What decade did you grow up in?
-
Wow -- Sam has a commanding 51 point lead.
-
Hi Kathy you have good taste in music for someone your age!! Beatles all the way!! hehe seems everyone forgets Ringo!! ops:
-
No Kathy you aren't. You are very mature for your age and have good taste in music as Sara says for a young person. Maybe you can influence your peers to like the Beatles. I myself liekd t hem at your age and it wasn't cool to like them and heavy emtal was popular and rap was becoming popular wtih bands such as Run DMC and the Fat Boys. KEep up the good taste my freind!
-
Sara, I think the reason wy people forget Ringo si because he was the drummer and didn't write any of the songs.
