Roos:

Hi, Nancy! (And other inhabitants of this thread!) It wasn't stupid of you writing messages to me. I read them seldom, I swear! I hope I'll have more time someday to talk to you. I'm almost sure! By the way, how are you? How are your Christmas preparations?

-
I've caught a cold a week ago. But now I'm fine. I wish I were in the Bahamas! I haven't got a tree yet, but I'm going to.

Yes, it's still difficult for me to work. You know I'm a curator of the 7-th form. It IS difficult.

I don't know what you mean by curator of the 7-th form. Can you explain this?
-
You see, here we have one 7-th form, three 8-th forms, three 9-th forms and so on till 11-th. Every form has a curator from the teachers of that school. I'm a curator of the 7-th. I must control their behaviour, attendance and marks. Once a month I organize meetings with parents to discuss the problems our class faces. Also I organize birthdays of the pupils of my class (my pupils), go to cinemas, theatres, museums with them.

WOW!!! Mike..that's a very responsible job!! Here we call that a MENTOR. A mentor is a kind of father or motherfigur. He or she looks after the class...like you do. Nice...but you never told me you are a curator How old are the children you teach?
-
My children are 11-12. But you know, I teach English in all classes (there are 12 of them). I have 37 lessons a week. And two mentor's lessons. It's hard, because I must be present almost everywhere, where my children are and know everything that occurs to every child of my class.

that's a difficult age..puberty Hard 37 lessons a week...wow..you must be very tired. where are you now? do you have your own computer?
-
Besides, if one of the teachers have a complaint about my pupil, he or she goes to me, first of all, and I must decide how to solve this problem, wether to involve parents or not. My mobile phone is seldom silent, 'cause parents call me very often, especially when a child is ill or is going to miss classes, they often come to me to find out the situation with their child's marks and behaviour, or they want to talk to some teacher or complain on him/her. I'm getting very tired of this by the end of the day!

Unfortunately, I have no computer at home and now I'm at Internet club. Besides, the teacher in our school computer class changed password to the Internet access and doesn't want to tell me. I asked him but he is simply a bastard.
