Anyway, this is our tribute to Cameron Crowe, great filmmaker and cool rock journalist. The Filipino thread honors Cameron Crowe One of the coolest fellows..great writer, great taste in music..I already paid tribute to Chinese-American(one of the coolest chinese fellows) Ben Fong-Torres in the past pages for his contribution as a rock journalist..and now its Cameron's turn.
Thanks a million Keith--how impressive! http://www.cameroncrowe.com/home/

Hi auntie,I hope you're doing fine out there in Texas,Im feeling great out here.. By the way auntie,I want you to read this, this place is not far from where we live, only a couple of miles drive...here you'll see tagalog as one of the official languages being spoken in Oakland's Chinatown, like I said before Tagalog is not a strange word here in my hometown,SF Bay Area... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oakland_Chinatown#People_and_culture Cities like Vallejo and Daly City(also here in the Bay Area) is where Filipino community is at large. In Daly City you can hear almost everybody speaking tagalog--we sometimes call it Little Manila. Dito samin sa Richmond at Pinole hindi gaano pero Vallejo,Daly City and Oakland Chinatown ang daming pinoy talaga duon..and tagalog is one of the largest languages being spoken kahit sa downtown SF.Im proud coz I didn't forget most of the words. Im delighted when people from other races were able to speak our native lingo.

Thanks for posting Cameron's site it was cool and unique--the articles were "type-written" to capture the early days when he first wrote those articles. Have you seen the film Almost Famous? Yeah he wrote that. That movie is his autobiography--sort of.

Like Mike you appreciate music and bands of the 50's, 60's 70, 80. I even dig the 40's haha! Well, my mom was born in the late 20's and that is why I still love to listen to the classic music and classical artist pianist like Bach, Chopin, tchaikovsky and more... I love Lavie en Rose French. I'll post it on you tube later when I feel like it's time to do it here's the url check out the lyrics. Louie Amstrong had a version in English but I don't like it because it is not as romantic as the original.

Anyway heres a soothing and head chillin' video.Heres our beloved fab four appearing on Ed Sullivan 1966..and you'll notice the studio where they played looks familiar, the back cover of their album Revolver has a snapshot of them sitting on this studio wearing those cool shades on. Enjoy the video
By the way,I have those glasses same as Ringo's..
