Paul You looked so happy at Stella's show yesterday. You and Nancy looked fantastic and you must be so proud of your very talented daughter, Stella? So happy for you!
-
Paul, I just want to thank you for everything you've given me. I've had a very rough day yesterday, but coming home and hearing your voice and music helped bring me some peace. Also, you are a personal inspiration to me. People have tried to beat you and your career down but you've never given up, and you're still a great success at what you do. I admire your strength and persistence as a musician and as a human being. I love you, Paul, and thank you.

Beautifully put, and I agree. That's one of the things I love so much about Paul. He's still so young in spirit.

It's a mystery. Last week I purchased the new Electric Arguments CD, listened to it four times (really brilliant) and now...poof. The jewel case with amazing artwork is here, but where is the CD? Any suggestions would be helpful. Love, Johnny

Paul This week, from the middle of my large and varied CD collection, my 5 year old son has selected 3 McCartney albums and The White Album and put them on the CD player himself.......GREAT!!..... . You should have seen my wife's face. ...it was a picture.... I wasn't around at the time, so couldn't have influenced him in anyway. I found her just slouched on the floor in one corner of the kitchen, with a look of resignation on her face and a half drunk bottle of gin in her hand crying.....hic!..... Last week he was obsessed with the Yellow Submarine and Help films. He ignored all the other stuff and plays only McCartney/Beatles CD's. He's a clever chap! He takes after his dad....

So I take it that your wife isn't a Beatles or Macca fan?
-
Kristie No, far from it!.....she switches them off at every opportunity..... The things I have to put up with. She's looking foward to Spandau Ballet getting back on the road..... : I think that was the last time she bought a record.......1986! I need to trade her in for a woman who loves the Beatles and Macca..... So far I've only met one in my whole life (away from this board.....and the women on here know me too well.... ).....no seriously!
-
David, that's hilarious about your wife. However, it sounds like your son is inheriting your taste in music, so at least you can enjoy the Beatles and Macca together! My husband is not much of a Macca fan but at least he likes the Beatles. So one out of two isn't bad! But I'm not sure I could handle it if he hated the Beatles, since I'm such a rabid fan.
-
Kristie Hope you and yours are spiffing.....(got to be carfeul with these words nowadays, the kids have other meanings for 'em all..ahem! What is yaffing?) I was very canny though...... ......when the wife twisted my arm right up my back a GOT ME TO PROPOSE TO HER on broken, sorry bended knee, I got her an engagement present (some soppy girly stuff) and made her get me all The Beatles CD's in a box in return. I may look daft but I'm not..... Had to go with her to make sure she didn't get a 1980's New Romantic collection CD or something similar instead.... Still the Formula 1 motor racing season starts on her birthday in 2 weeks time so that'll get her off my back for every other weekend for the next 6 months and allow me and the sprog some quality Beatle/Macca time while she's watching paint dry....sorry F1. Mind you the more I think about it......she's not a vegetarian either, she doesn't like soccer, she doesn't like my taste in clothes, she doesn't like my taste in not wearing clothes on beaches, she doesn't like my taste in films, she doesn't like my little peculiarity (it isn't that little!) or two.......where's that marriage contract again?.......

Paul, our kid is having me load his fave songs by you & The Beatles into his MP3 player!
-
David, I have no clue what "yaffing" would be. Sounds funny, whatever it is! You and your wife sound so very different! Do you two have anything in common at all? And why does she hate the Beatles/Paul so much?
