"Ya know Mr. Spector, there one thing bothering me...you say she shot herself...hmmm...with your gun?....hmmm" http://home.comcast.net/~derrick8/JamesPaulColombo.jpg I think Paul coulda been a neat Colombo. "Ah...Mr. Jackson, just a minute of your time, I was just wonderin'...you had alot of these young fellows sleeping over at your house...in your bed, you say...hmmm....and nothing was going on?...that's very interesting..." Inspector Clouseau meets Paulombo...
Ah, yes...I know you...what is thet you are smoking? eh? A cigar? Ah, yes...well...mah mistake. Yes, I met your friend on the Magic Christian, you see. I heard your song but I didn't see you... What is the matter...do you have a bimp on your heyd? The big difference is Columbo, I mean, Paulombo only pretended to be stupid to throw off the criminal.
Actually, Paul would be a real cool Inspector Clouseau also...
Does your dog bite? Would be neat seeing him sing "Michelle" as Inspector Clouseau.

The Beatle cartoons are pretty neat, although they didn't use the real Beatle voices. They just came out with a neat Macfarlane set of the cartoon figures. I am guessing that with the Macfarlane set released, it won't be long before a formal DVD is released, but that is just a guess. Podgie (the cartoon) Monkey

Man, I tell ya, I'm off here for a couple of days and look at all the adventures I have to catch up on

LOL!! Yes, MTV used to show the Beatles cartoons, too. I learned to tune my guitar to the beginning. Bbbmmm...bmmm...bmmm...ding...ding...ding..
I wish Cartoon Network would show them again, too. That would be great. But a DVD collection would be fun, too. Even though it wasn't their original voices (neither was Yellow Submarine - Paul's voice was done by the guy who plays "Anslo" on Keeping Up Appearances! ROTFLOL!). And they were kind of mean to Ringo sometimes. I didn't know about the Macfarlane set. We have both Yellow Submarine sets. In fact, my son brought "Paul" to see Paul at the concert. Hey, he was only 5 at the time.
If they showed them on Cartoon Network again, that would be a fab way to introduce another generation of kids to their awesome music.

ROTFLOL!! Ah...yes..."Meechelle" Mmmm... And also "Oh Darling!" He could sing it to Maria Gambrelli (played by Heather). Steve Martin is doing a movie as Inspector Clouseau. I like Steve Martin... but it's gotta be Peter Sellers to be Inspector Clouseau. Although Paul could be a good Inspector Clouseau...

The Beatles Cartoon 1 9 6 5 - 1 9 6 9 (USA) 39 x 30 minute episodes The Beatles cartoons were screened in the US from September 25, 1965 to April 20, 1969 on ABC Television. They were then seen in syndication and overseas. The series was also repeated in the US in 1986 and 1987 on MTV. Al Brodax and his King Features team created the cartoon series in New York. Due to time constraints, three other studios were subcontracted to help. They were Artransa Park in Australia, Cine-Centrum in Holland, and CanaWest in Vancouver, BC. The Beatles themselves did not provide the voices for their cartoon counterparts. The voices were provided by actors, including world-renowned voice-over artist, Paul Frees, an American, who provided the voices of John and George. Englishman, Lance Percival, provided the voices of Paul and Ringo. Al Brodax decided to "Americanise" The Beatles Liverpudlian accents so the American kids could understand them. This led to much controversy, and the Fab Four themselves were most displeased. The voice controversy led to the series not being screened very much in the UK, and not until the 1970s. The series performed exceptionally well in the ratings when it first appeared. The ratings started to decline though, in 1966, mainly due to the Caped Crusader! When the live action Batman show premiered in 1966, kids fell in love with superheroes. Many copycat shows appeared such as Space Ghost, Frankenstein Junior, etc, and The Beatles series was never the same in the ratings. There were other reasons, not least of which was the growth and maturity of The Beatles' music. The Cast John Lennon Paul Frees Paul McCartney Lance Percival George Harrison Paul Frees Ringo Starr Lance Percival
