Podgie, where are you ???
I'm wearin' my "I survived the Blizzard of 2005" sweatshirt! We got about 2 1/2 feet of snow...with wind gusts to 60mph (feeling well below zero...farenheit). The wind made for some very high drifts...the back door was buried under 5 feet of snow, it was up over the windows on that side. Glad I have my Duchimp, work of art, snowblower...even with it, it took about 2 1/2 hours to clear the driveway. It is a piece of art, which quite frankly this time of year...is priceless. I am still considering hibernating for the rest of the winter. Just cover myself with blankets and not leave the den till spring. Oh, maybe I would come out one day...just to see if I could see my shadow. Podgie (Frozen in the Great White Northeast) Monkey

Thanks Fea. I survived, my back is sore and i am exhausted, but I survived. I took some asprin before I went out, they say it is good in case your heart decides to attack you. They are not making a big deal out the the "Blizzard of 2005"...I guess, because the season isn't over...maybe they are expecting a bigger storm. Podgie (No More Snow!...please!) Monkey

2 1/2 feet of snow I hate to say this, but I'm glad the snow came your way and not mine You probably have to eat a lot of bananas to keep up your strenght to shovel all that snow Hope you are staying warm

Very deep snow, with high drifts...it drifted to 5ft deep at the back door. It was light snow, but there was just too much of it. Everything is cleared out today. Schools and State Offices are closed. I made it to work today. Main roads are fine, back roads are very slippery. The snow total for where I am is 30 inches, Salem Mass got 38 inches (the most in the area). It is still very cold here...temperatures in the 20s (Farenheit).
