I thought Paul would get a kick out of this, if he ever reads the forum. I hope everyone has a Wonderful Christmastime and the Happiest of New Years! Podgie (AKA "The Sign Guy from Boston!") Monkey
Thanks for the Merry Crimble card, Podgie. Very nice of you to give the autograph to your friend's daughter, but we know you are a great guy.

awww how lovely. What a nice thing to do. Not many people would give away Paul's autograph. Still jammy to get it though... I'm always still to scared to throw things up to him on stage coz I'll either hit him or it will go nowhere near him
It didn't land anywhere near him when I threw it. The marker dropped out and seperated from the sleeve. He used the marker I threw with the sleeve to sign the first item. Brian Ray picked up the sleeve, behind Paul and was looking at it, then gave it to Paul...who signed it. It was the second item (and last item) he signed on the stage, all a matter of luck. I heard about an album hitting him in the face at one of the shows. I brought the ps for my friends daughter to hold up when he played "Wonderful Christmastime", and told her if she threw it up and he signed it, she could keep it. We got seperated when we got to the railing before the show started, and I ended up having it. Actually, I was thinking I was in a bad spot to get anything signed as in Dublin he came on and exited the stage from the left, and I was on the right side in front of Brian. I have several autographs from the signings Paul has done, and never really intended to keep the ps if I got it signed. Actually, when I woke up the next morning was laying in bed thinking about which friend I should give it to. The more I thought about it, the more it seemed the right thing to do was it give it to my friend's daughter. My friend is divorced, and his children live in Dublin with their Mother. They were having such a great time, and it was so special for them being at the show together. She really was the star of the soundcheck, and Paul was waving and winking at her all night dancing at the railing during the show. She was just amazed at the show, it was an unbelievable experience (for us all). I also figured the ps has Dublin history, being signed on stage there, it should stay with her in Dublin. Also, forgot to mention...she was just seventeen... Podgie (...you know what I mean) Monkey

My friend's daughter, danced in from of Paul in the Soundcheck...it was GA so there was a huge open area in front of the stage. Paul called her the Most Enthusiastic Screamer and Dancer! ...and even said the award for screaming goes to her. She was great, and Paul and everyone at the soundcheck enjoyed it. At the show we were all in the front row at the railing! It really felt like Paul was playing the whole show for us. At the end of the show, Paul only signed two items on stage, one was the Wonderful Christmastime 45rpm picture sleeve I threw up on the stage. I gave it to my friend's daughter. It was the concert of her lifetime!!! She is going to frame it with with the ticket stub, and photos I took of her dancing with Paul behind her at the soundcheck. The ultimate Dublin concert souvenir...plus what a story behind it!!!

There were only 11 of us in the soundcheck in Dublin. We were standing just in front of the sound mixing area at first. Being GA the arena was a wide open area. The inside of the O2 in Dublin reminded me of the Roundhouse inside, except at a much larger scale. After a few songs they let us move forward to dance, out to the middle of the floor. It was awesome! The highlight for me of the soundcheck was Paul doing a really rocking version of "Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On" on the piano. The band also played with "Mother Nature's Son", which transistioned into Yesterday. Hearing "Mull of Kintyre" with no bagpipes was interesting too, just Wix with the accordian. Most of the other songs were the same ones he usually does in soundcheck, except he did play "Birthday" also. Podgie (what a great time in Ireland) O'Monkey

Man, it's been a while. All the movies lately have been trash. Okay, Avitar was great! I just saw the new Alice In Wonderland in 3d at the IMAX. I liked it. It wasn't great, but I liked it. I never knew the Jabberwocky was a ....I'm not telling. Seemed more like HarryPotter than Alice, not just the Jabberwocky but hearing Snapes voice from the Caterpiller. I just imagine a Macca version, being soooo much better... Yeah, .... The Mad Macca That would be cool! And the two fat boys (as they were called by the Red Queen)... Tweedle-R and Tweedle-B I imagine the White Queen... The White Queen Don't know about the Red Queen...hmmm...maybe... The Red Queen Not sure about who Alice would be be. I'll have to think about that. Podgie (this is my dream) Monkey

very nice piccies Podgie - Yoko is truly scary!!!

Of course in my version things would change. It would become... "Why is a BLACKBIRD like a WRITING DESK?" for instance. Podgie (and of course I wouldn't have an answer...except maybe Paul wrote on both) Monkey
