Hey, didn't Paul (the Beatle not the Alien) turn down the role of Romeo back in the 1960s? Woulda made a great Gnomeo today, I think. I thought it was an okay movie (Gnomeo and Juliet), I liked "Rango" better. Although I thinks kids probably would be a bit bored in Rango, I thought much of the humor and the story itself was Adult oriented. I liked it though. I haven't seen "Paul" (the Alien Movie) yet though. Podgie (let's see, what movie do I sneak into next?) Monkey
I'd hate to be in Paul's shoes if the Travelocity Gnome sees that...

It's funny, I was reading thru this thread. Too bad alot of the early photo links have disappeared, the thread does lose some continuity. It is still a very entertaining humourous series of webpages. I miss Tori also. Does anyone know what happened to her? She seemed to fall off the face of the Macca Forum. One thing that I wonder about with this thread. I wonder in the future, years from now, how many photoshopped photos will be taken to be real photos? I actually see that even happening today. The perspective of history could be altered. I could just imagine, for example, this photo being shown to illustrate Paul entertaining children in Russia. : ))) Podgie (Yes, even way in the future Paul's musicianship will be revered) Monkey

This new contest has got me wonderin'. I was thinkin' bout the girl back at the Warwick Hotel in 1966 who was trying to give Paul her picture she created. I think the picture is fantastic! Actually I wonder what happened to her and the painting? I bet the painting would be worth alot today. I can't find the video on Youtube, but I remember she named the painting "A Sprout of a New Generation". It was very cool. My recreation of it, at least what I think it looked like in color (colour for you UK folks): I think Paul should seek her out for a special award. Would make a great video clip if Paul is working on another DVD. I just imagine a "Search for the Artist" segment in the DVD. Would be very cool! Podgie (always thinkin') Monkey

Should be "Maybe I'm Amused" knowing my work. I actually submitted one of my works, but won't post the link till the deadline. The site won't accept multiple entries. I am psyched for the contest. I hope to see works by the forum regulars. Should be neat. I just hope I can win a copy of CS5! Man, there would be no stopping me with that!!! ...and thinkin' more of the girl with the "Sprout of a New Generation" painting. I would treat Paul like a normal human-bean. Should I win. I actually remember that 'sprout' painting. The girl had dark hair & a very strong joisey accent. Not sure where the accent was from since I have a chicago accent... But I saw it recently on a Beatles DVD...now to try & remember which one?

It was "The Complbeat Beatles". I had the VHS tape of it. It was the first Beatles Documentary I remember coming out. I liked it so much I converted it to DVD, but I would think a DVD of it has been released. I thought that she was soooo cool. It wasn't just a poster paper sign type piece of art, but it was on canvas. She was a real artist! I hope she is found, and told about the art/graphics contest. I would love to see her work. I hope she stuck with her art. I'd love to know what happened to the painting too. It should be in a Beatles museum! It was great! Podgie (I loved the joisy/ny accent also) Monkey

I found a webpage that contains a link to it on Youtube, it is within the video clip. I think she is wonderful. This was 1966 in NYC at the Warwick Hotel. You can imagine the excitement at the time, the girls screaming, etc. I hope that Paul's video crew will search her out and do a segment on her, either for the next DVD or for this website. This has such relation to the new contest, it is perfect. Maybe we on the forum can help make this happen?! http://beatlestillidie.blogspot.com/2010/04/sprout-of-new-generation.html Podgie (She's a true fan!) Monkey
