Paul Album Signing HMV London Friday 18th Oct.

the question is how many people will decide to camp out. Is it worth booking a plane ticket?

HMV are not guaranteeing anyone else will get signed past the competition winners - saw this on their FB: hmv no wristbands Daniel, just first come first served if there's still time after the competition winners. As you can image, it's going to be a very busy day so we're trying to be as open as we can without promising anything we simply can't guarantee. Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience a couple of other times though, hopefully not with us. We do everything we possibly can, to give as much info as possible

they never guarantee anything, just in case but I somehow cannot imagine Paul signing for only 60 people. He's done many more before

I recommend that, if you can, it's worth queuing up VERY early in the morning, from 4am to be successful for this. THEN you will have a chance!!
-
Can't attend. Physically impossible. But good luck with all those going. Hope you don't get too tired or cold...

WixRocks!:
WOW! Really hope there's an East Coast signing...we could do a day trip to NYC for this...amazing.
Thinking the same thing...and I won't be 'damn, I have to work'...that's what happens you have a month and a half of sick time accumulated

I am keeping my eyes peeled on twitter and facebook to try and get a guaranteed spot. I waited for 3 days to see Paul at Amoeba, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to get to London until around 10pm on Thursday and I'm worried that's not early enough! I've been obsessed with him for 18 years and this might be my only opportunity to meet him. I don't want to get all the way down there at 10pm and wait in line overnight for nothing. Do you think 10pm is early enough? Anyone else going to wait in line?

that is my worry. I would be able to get there at 5pm on Thursday and this may not be early enough.... The airfare is far too much to risk flying and not getting in.
-
I just checked the trains and I can maybe get there as early as 7:30pm... still worried it's not early enough. I am going to keep checking the social networking sites for more information. I will relay it on here if nobody else does. H-Girl, where would you be flying from?
-
I dont beleive some people, not only are there people advertising pre order signed vopies of maccas new album on eBay but they have sold some as well One person has 4 copies for sale at £275.00 and they have already sold 3 copies. THey also say this "please also note with every C.D. sold there will be a Limited number of Free vinyl ,record,s given to a certain number of customer,s and they can also be signed , will update further information as I get it,And let,s hope it rain,s to keep the crowds down for the unlucky fan,s waiting in the Street, this will ease the congestion, and keep the Oxford street quieter, Although it will be crazy, for oversea,s fan,s view the coverage on C.N.N. or Sky New,s Also if going to the Signing, please be aware there will be a strong Police and Security presence, so keep it calm,,," Not sure where thye have heard about free vinyl?, very cheeky hoping it rains, also as will be limited to one per person i guess they are getting a team to go. Another seller has it for £395.00 and they have sold one copy already an other ojne selling 4 copies at £329.99 and sold 2 already. It makes me mad i really want to go to this as i am a fan and all the people meeting him are going to be dealers!

Poland. I've decided not to, though. The flight prices are going up minute by minute. I can't afford to go now. Sigh.... Where is the time when I was let in first to Waterstone's in 2000 and Paul introduced me to the media people "This is a lady from Poland"....

The dealers are in for a shock if they are forced to have a name put on the item (which is very likely, as it helps to stop reselling!)

absolutely gutted i'm not going to be able to go Too ill for an overnight sleep on a pavement
Going to try for a Guaranteed place? That's a brilliant "first" for Paul. Gives us living some distance away - and maybe unable to queue for a variety of reasons - a chance at least... Martin
I am tempted to enter yes, but i presume it's one entry per winner and not a pair, and it gets childishly complicated cos i do all Paul stuff with my sister (both fans for 29 years). I just spoke to her and she can't get the day off work anyway, but as well as that i got told she will kill me if i met him without her! I want to though. It may wreck the family, but there's no harm in entering is there..?
you know what my answer would be lass.
Aye, and you're right It's mostly because i am actually hundreds of miles down south in london anyway on friday with my bf, we're travelling down to see something in the evening. It's that fact that made me so tempted to enter the comp. She actually said last night i can enter if i want seeing as i am already there... but i think the guilt trip i'd already been given shows me what i should really do (not that i'd win anyway!)
-
The first opportunity to get tickets just happened on Twitter! Good luck to anyone who enters!

I really hope everybody gets his autograph. If u have one already, please let someone to have it this time. Do I want his autograph? Yes I do but I don't really want him to come to my town(Los Angeles) for signing. Because I don't want to spend all day(or more) for standing line to get his autograph and most of the time, I don't get it. Even I don't get it, still I go to see it because if u are so close, you just don't want to miss it. I know who gets it. They are dealers. Somehow they know in advance that when Paul is coming.

I went in 2006 and spent the night on the pavement outside the virgin store. I,d love to go again but there is so much doubt this time whether you would get in or not. I presume if you did you would buy the cd or vinyl inside before seeing him. Does anybody know if that is the case this time ?
-
Do you think if lucky enough to gain entry it would be wise to ask if he could sign a surname or a shortened one? Just to make my copy feel more unique. Edit: I'd also like to know if you have to supply the CD yourself or if you buy it at the shop, maybe it would be better bringing a copy incase?

Dont know the answer to the question about buying the cd but at his last signing i went to for the Fireman album i asked if he could dedicate it for me and he replied "Sure Man, Whats your name?" I was really pleased to get it named to me personally and he drew a smiley face as well!
