You Gave Me The Answer, Questions for Paul feature.
-
My reading of this is the feedback the questions asked provide to Paul and his team is of greater importance than the single question answered each month. The questions asked provides a litmus test of fans hopes and ambitions and provides the opportunity to target Paul's commercial output to meet those aspirations. So even if unsuccessful in being "The Question" your contributions are helping nudge Paul's plans in the direction you hope he will take. So nudge away Martin

I think it's fantastically cool Except for the potential for one's feelings getting hurt, should one ask repeatedly and never receive an answer
which will probably happen to most macca diehards
I sooo agreee.... ops:

He could interact a bit more with his fans, but i guess he's busy, but one question a month, bit of a joke really. :
Well look on the bright side. That's way more than David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Mick Jagger, Pete Towshend, Robert Plant, or any other aging legend I can think of interacts with their fans.
Good point! Also, to be honest, I want this to be something cool to look forward to and a weekly thing would probably get boring fast (not to mention his busy schedule). I think this kind of a monthly thing is perfect, my only complaint is that its just one question. I wish he could answer three each time or something... Still, its a great way to connect directly with fans everywhere on a regular basis.
That was my thinking, i feel five questions a month would have been a more acceptable amount rather than a measly one. :

Fans can send in as many questions as they wish
Fun, silly, serious it's up to you, you can question Paul to your hearts content as thoughts crop up. However with only the one reply planned a month it's not going to be the conversation you hope for. But personally I hope for informative replies. I wouldn't want to wait 30 days for: Q - Will You Marry Me? A - Sorry, but my wife won't let me...... Martin
-
And he's going to be answering a whole question every month! Quickfire or what!?? My "what do you think about jellyfish and could you write a song about them?" question has little chance of being selected I'm afraid.
-
I suppose the trick in in asking an open question that catches Paul's eye and prompts a full reply. I'm inspired by Paul's eloquent tribute to Sir Richard Rodney Bennett: http://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/27418-sir-richard-rodney-bennett-1936-2012 One of the best first person pieces Paul has published for many a year. If a question can be posed that might trigger such a detailed response from Paul we'll certainly get our monies-worth. Get your thinking caps on..... Martin

Please God no one ask him how he met John, or is it true he dreamed the melody of yesterday. :
-
I just posted my question to Sir Paul...i truly think he will answer me!!! I've only loved his music all of my life....

Actually Neil Young is very into his website. You can go on there and read his newspaper NYTimes or Neil Young Times. Before that he had the LWWtoday, Or Living With War Today, during the President Bush era. As far as Paul, I don't have a question for him, but wanted to say I really think that photo of him sitting on that cool antique loveseat looks great. The photo of his face is one of the most handsome shots I have seen in a long time. Thanks 2 whomever took that beautiful photo! Those eyes! woof woof!
Woof Woof is right Great picture of Paul! I wasn't thinking that through abut Neil, I actually did read his website alot more during the Bush years and think I stopped around the time his hybrid car practically burned the warehouse down... good thing they saved the instruments!! Very political and says what he thinks...

That needs to be posted under ..."Silly Questions for Paul" Thread, here on this board, right Martin? :

Not really that interested in this, though I suppose I would like to read the Q&A as it goes along, hopefully there's good questions. I'd have tons of good questions which I doubt would make it to him.. and I aint going through the trouble. I don't really have the desire to personally interact with Paul I guess. it is a kind gesture to his fans though, I would agree. way to go Paul!

A big joke really. Have you seen the amount of people asking questions on any given subject on his site? OMG...and if everyone asks more than one question? And he will answer one a month? Or will his team answr one a month?
It said he will actually answer one question per month. :
Then we could ask just one... but a long long long question.

you'll never know, knowing Paul, he could grab an acoustic around him and start singing: "Jellyfish jellyfish it's the star of the seas"

I sometimes listen to Beatlesradio.com They always have questions for the fans..some are just plain silly ...some are thought provoking..some are just informative. Who is the oldest Beatle? A) either Ringo or John..Ringo ..if you mean by age or John ..if you mean who was the first Beatle.. : Q) Who taught John to play a guitar? A) Most would probably say Julia(his mother) but it was Paul..Julia only played the banjo. I sent in my first question..but it was a very personal question so I don't imagine he will answer it..just thought I'd ask anyway.
-
"Are you dead?" (He's still asked at TV interviews...) Sorry... well, I don't have anything left to ask Paul after all the interviews I've seen. Perhaps some kind of quintaessential doubt of the fans like who sang the "aaah aaah aaah" in A Day In The Life. Then there's when he met aliens but I don't think he will talk about that. It would be a hell of an answer if he explained the details of the meeting. Or if it was all a joke and there was no such encounter.
-
I would ask What are your favorite moments on your early solo/Wings work; ie fav song on Ram, Wild Life, RRS, BOTR, and also what are you're favorite memories of writing with John? That should get him talking
-
I asked him if he was ever going to vary his setlist and play more Wings songs like Silly Love Songs and Listen To What The Man Said.
-
I'll tell you..even if you didn't ask. When I was on the ustream webchat w/ Paul, I asked many questions but he didn't answe any of them..instead he answered a question I didn't ask! Then he gave me credit for it.. I wonder if he will do the same here! HEY Paul..will you answer my question this time?
