That's a really great story! You ended up upgrading to Row A then Nice!
It was awesome. It started funny really. I was sitting there all by myself in AA6. Then my friend Lorna (AA7) texted me where I was seated. I told her where I was and told her to come over. There were a lot of empty seats around me so I suggested to hang out together till the gig started. When the Texas chick ended we stood up and were just standing there. With bad-ass security keeping an eye on us and the several other fans that were watching. I already overheard one security saying that people were not allowed, not under any circumstances, to stand up. That's when Shelley walked by And as soon as we heard we were allowed to stand, we texted Christine to come over as well (you were in AA6 as well, weren't you?) and so we all had one of the bests spots of the evening. This is so NEVER going to happen again. I love Paul but I'm not patient enough to go stand in a line at 1 pm in the afternoon already while the show starts at 8 pm just to be able to stand in the front. Then I rather stand a little further back. We were really lucky that night!
I know, couldn't believe it when you told us we weren't allowed to stand, wasn't happy at all! Remember we were talking about a load of us storming the front of the stage anyway!?Haha. So glad you had a word with Shelly. Thanks to you it all turned out good in the end

That 4th row ticket did it. So I'm glad I bought the soundcheck ticket after all. If it wasn't for that, I'm not sure if we would have made it all the way to the front since I'd be sitting more to the back as well and we probably wouldn't have the chat with Shelley. I hope we get so see him again this year!

I think Paul should consider touring Europe again. I know the big money is Stateside, but Liverpool is probably due another tour stop. Been two years now!

Blimey I'm not saying the stewards were unfriendly but if it wasn't for Shelley, can you imagine what the security would've done if we'd stormed the stage? They'd have probably fired rubber bullets and used tear gas to disperse us!!

'6 death at McCartney concert', lol. I can see the headlines. I find it weird that Paul's security discussed this subject so late with Hampden security, 5 min before the show to start???

Well, in a parallel universe, i'm a Manchester United fan so this Anfield thing is a bit of a non-starter but how about the Echo Arena in Liverpool? That's a neutral footballing venue!

I can understand why you might not enjoy being at Anfield. Echo is fine with me aslong as he play's in britain again! I would quite like to go to a more intimate venue aswell. Something like Edinburgh Castle...Great setting but the crowd would be smaller. Think Rod Stewart played up here a few weeks back.

Sounds like a great place for a show. I'd definitely go back up to Scotland for a gig ... wonderful place!

I don't care where he'd play, preferably Scotland, but anywhere else in the UK is fine by me as well. Holland is even better but I doubt he'll return here since he was here last year already.

Liverpool would be perfect for me ... just 45 minutes by car on the East Lancs Rd, accompanied by a selection of McCartney songs

Liverpool, eh ? I made a prediction a while ago that he would end the tour in Liverpool! That would be absolutely brilliant if he did.

Well let's hope that you're psychic then!

I hope so too! I would love to see him in Liverpool.

I'm fully broke right now but one way or another I WILL find the money if he plays in Liverpool on the next leg of this tour. WHICH I STILL HOPE WILL TAKE PLACE IN EUROPE AND NOT IN THE US!!!!!

I love your optimism! :

My wife and I went to hear Paul's soundcheck the night before the Hampden concert. As he spoke to some stagehands , he was sat at the piano and started playing what can only be described as a piece of classical music that I have never heard before. It was a beautiful tune that he is obviously working on and we so hope to hear it again sometime.

As Paul already performed in Holland and France last year and as Belgium has not seen him since 2003, I vote for Belgium next year. What do you think of that Jolanda ?

I'm all for it Jean! I can drive there myself or go by train, no problem. I assume I'll see you there again? I hope the rest of the Glasgow crew can make it over to the mainland then as well.
